jammo
First off it's worth saying not to be too gutted about todays result. I think if you dwell on it to long and beat yourself up about it it will make things worse. After we lost 6-1 to Bristol we had to just laugh it off because we just couldn not figure out how we'd lost by so many goals. In terms of terms of the game today I thought 700 away fans was brilliant considering it's no local game. At least some one follows their club well...I've seen the likes of Yeovil bring only 300 for a much closer game. Fair play as well the vast majority stayed to the end even after being 5 down. In terms of how we beat you 5-0. Well all season we've been getting constantly beaten for sheer rotten luck. Every game we'd be in it just miss that one vital chance then the other team goes down the other end and scores 2 game over. The thing that happened today was that players who were so good for us last season but not performing this season suddenly kicked into gear. In terms of changes from our last game with you only our 2nd string goalie came in along with 2 wingers and Sam Hewson from Manchester United. Now as for the 2 wingers one had come back from Watford on loan after we sold him for 300k and the other was actually sat in the away end at Boundary Park. I think to say you were rubbish today isn't true. Going forward you were good but vital missed chances cost you. If I can be perfectly honest your worst 2 players today were your goalkeeper who I know is not your no.1 shotstopper and also Dean Windass. I'm sorry but Dean sulked he walked he just sat around like a sack of spuds. In terms of promotion I think you have a great chance of the play-offs being right in there. We always seem to bash in one side every season I mean literally take the past 5 seasons: Dagenham away 0-9 Fanborough away 0-6 Scarborough home 4-0 Lincoln home 4-0 Darlington home 5-1 It just happens when we went up to you exact same thing. We wern't relaly that bad we just cought you at the wrong time. You were not horrific just we'd just come off a 2 week break rearing to go and were 2-0 before we knew it. I don't really know what happened in all fairness at 1nil 2nil even 3nil I still thought you would come back. In all honesty I was expecting a hammering today that's just football I suppose. Whether it will turn our season I don't know. Only downer for us today was that Andy Williams (1goal in 18games) did not score (again) when he had so many chances. You just feel for the lad and I think a new striker may have bagged another 2 or 3 for us today. But really those chances you missed would have made a less than convincing game for us today we were deserved winners but constantly your wingers made me nervous for the first half at least. Good luck for the rest of season
Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Fact is, we took you too lightly and thought 3 points were already put on the board before kick off and we deserved the trouncing today. You closed us down well and didn't let us get anything going, matched with crap defending too. Hope you enjoyed it and I hope you stay up. Frankly Mr Shankly
Hope you enjoyed it and I hope you stay up. Yes, I do too. Apart from the result, and abject performance from us it's a great away trip. Very accessible on the train from Manchester, lots of pubs in the centre and the ground (possessing bags of character) being just a 5 minute walk from the station. I'm much happier going there than I am going to soulless breeze block eyesore in the middle of nowhere.
johnny punkster
congrats mate. you beat a team who deserved a good battering... i'm hoping hereford, and latics, kick on from that result today.
nava
as bad as we played today i thought you played some great stuff and showed the right attitude that we need to start showing. hopefully both teams have learnt a lot from today. Hereford is a lovely city, the locals were very friendly and we had a great time in the Victory and Barrels pubs. Agree about it being a much more enjoyable experience than at the new stadia. Then the match started, the performance was abject and to be on that terracing amongst all the abuse coming from Latics supporters was something I would not wish my worst enemy to experience. footy68
I don't boo Diego and won't show vitriol to the team, but are you shocked after what we saw?
jammo
Don't think I heard alot of booing from your end only a chant of "what the f*cking hell was that" at half time. Thing annoyed me most was the home crowd only 2600 bothered to turn up I seriously 2 divisions lower we got more home fans than that. All the stay aways always miss the best games or all the wins infact. I bet when everyone turns up for Leeds we get hammered. It's a shame relaly we averaged 3700 fans in the conference with away fans numbering hardly ever more than 100. Now we only average like 3200 where away fans come in much much bigger numbers like today.

We do have a good away following but home support is dire.

Is it true that you have an actual live bull as your mascot, which you slaughter at the end of the season and sell off as steak?

You're in dire straights when your keeper is MOTM when you lose 5-0. Reminds me of Given getting MOTM for Newcastle a month or so ago when they got beat by something similar. Lätic
I too hope Hereford stay up, if only so it gives me an excuse to go home to see my parents in Herefordshire for the weekend. I watched my first ever professional football match 27 years ago next weekend at Edgar Street, and although I was never a regular attender, having picked up the live football bug at University, I always look for their result every week.
