Song to come onto the pitch

Recommended Posts

Given the nature of the match and the importance to completely re build morale, what song shpuld we come out to on Saturday as a one off special?

My thanks to others for the inspiration for the post, and I can't wait for diego's post about democratically chosen one.

So specially for our defence

Cover Me by Bruce Springsteen !

The times are tough now, just getting tougher

This old world is rough, it's just getting rougher

Cover me, come on baby, cover me

Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me

Promise me baby you won't let them find us

Hold me in your arms, let's let our love blind us

Cover me, shut the door and cover me

Well I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me

Outside's the rain, the driving snow

I can hear the wild wind blowing

Turn out the light, bolt the door

I ain't going out there no more

This whole world is out there just trying to score

I've seen enough I don't want to see any more,

Cover me, come on and cover me

I'm looking for a lover who will come on in and cover me

But maybe more appropritately. Walk on by by Dionne Warwick !!

Enough about Obama!

Following on from Mouldy Old Dough, as the team starts to line up in preparation for the kick-off, turn the PA up to max and, instead of 'Let's get ready to grumble', play this by Bon Jovi:

Faith: you know you're gonna live thru the rain

Lord you got to keep the faith

Now you know is not too late

Oh you got to keep the faith

Faith: don't let your love turn to hate

Right now we got to

Keep the faith

Keep the faith

Keep the faith

Lord we got to keep the faith

Two tribes ... by FGTH ...... now that would sound fabulous on the PA

Agree with most of the songs listed in this thread; what I would like to see (and hear) is a gradual build up to the start of the match with a few decent songs ending with a final one that heralds the arrival of the two teams - a song that is uplifting and gets the crowd going - a la Muse 'Hysteria' or similar <_<

this has been mentioned before....considering we have it on the back of our shirts and everybody says it etc etc.....but think i have only ever heard it twice at bp.

lets face it...franny sorts the music and that out and if he doesnt like it regardless of what everybody else says,it doesnt get played...

thats why we have the ridiculous lets get ready to rumble, cringe everytime they play it....

i can only go off concerts i have been to and so on,but a lot of bands before coming on use classical music to get the crowd going...the classic being the one from the old spice ads, think its tchzicovski....starts slow then builds to a crescendo....as soon as the players enter the tunnell then fanfare for the common man straight after it...

and tell franny to keep his mouth shut until its either finished or the players run off after the lineup....plenty of time for him to say come on your the 12 man..... whilst players are kicking ball about and hes giving the line ups..

think we used to come out to that second half at some point, as well as boys are back in town - embarassing on a december tuesday night against Grimsby

Haha funny times...we used to come out to the boys are back in town and if my memory serves me correctly the opposition would return to the rugrats theme tune.
