BlueJazzer Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 How about we make this a 'no capacity mentoned' thread so we can actually discuss the other issue without having to trawl thru pages and pages of '12000 is fine - no we need 16000'? Put it in the title!!! Someone who can think on their feet in the pie shop? 'Ere, we only got 12 pies left and its only quarter to 3!' 'Dont worry theres another 200 in the freezer' 'They take 35 mins to cook, they wont be ready for half time!' Quote
Lookers_Carl Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Right, serious answer (within reason of course) - A bit of character, would like there to be something about the ground that makes it unique, something that away fans will remember and identify with latics ground. Please not just a standard carbon copy lego/toilet bowl stadium. Not too fussed about whether we go for 4 distinct stands or a bowl type stadium, as long as there is something about it that fans can identify with Latics - Room for future expansion (assuming the capacity is only going to be 12k) - Like prozac said, facilities that will generate £££ throughout the week that will make the club self sufficient - Decent matchday facilities for eating/drinking, then maybe more fans will go for their prematch bite to eat/pint inside the ground. - A wee bit more legroom than the chaddy/rre currently offers would also be nice, even dwarfs find the legroom in there lacking Quote
KUNGFOO Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 stripers for half time dancing proper pies pipes under the seats for them cold days heating ofc only home fans non in the away stand thanks A real nice stand 16000 with corners filled so it doesnt look like some block council effort main stand as u walk in the a big giant glowing oldham badge Quote

Get ready We have already had that debate, twice over, and we sure as hell aint having it again. The poster asked for fans opinions on what they would like to see in the new stadium, Hence the thead will allow fans to express their views on what they would like to see in the new stadium. Quote
