I was told the same story that his back had gone and it was 2-4 months out. The info was from a fat bloke eating a pie so the evidence is overwhelming Quote

boundaryblue80 Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Regarding Smalley in ppls teams...I was told today that Smalleys injured himself in training today and it's quite serious. A back injury that will see him out for any time between 2-4mths...I thought this was common knowledge when I was told...but seems not... Quote
penrhyn Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I thought I read or heard somewhere that Smalley had failed a fitness test, indicating the injury may not be too serious. I could be wrong though. Quote
Stevie Whitehall Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 I thought I read or heard somewhere that Smalley had failed a fitness test, indicating the injury may not be too serious. I could be wrong though. Went for scan on Thursday afternoon and got results on Friday. Quote

JohnnyPimp Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 he failed a fitness test shortly before the game.. so maybe on bench for carlisle game / orient (we play them on saturday right?) Yeah, he was jogging up the steps to the benches when I saw him. Didn't look seriously injured. Quote

Stevie Whitehall Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 has there been any mention on the OS that he's injured? No, not even in Penney's post match interview. Quote
LaticsLegend Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 At least 2 months i've heard, depending on whether he needs an op. Quote

razza699 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 Why? Just looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at BP to be honest that was at HT and he was probably bored by the first half Quote

chaddy the owl Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I spoke to Dean before the game on Saturday, he is absolutely gutted to be injured but he has been told he will be out for 6-8 weeks. He was trying to explain to me what exactly he has done, but not being a doctor it went straight over my head but it was something about the things between your vertibrae in your spine that was causing the problem, they had moved out of place slightly or summat i think he said. Stevie Whitehall Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Sounds like a slipped disc? Not a slipped disc, he said his spine is out of line or something like that. A bit like yourself, Wazza, what he was saying made no sense to me - there is no danger about that. Quote
