OAFC_Rob Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I dunno if this has been done before, if so can you re-direct me. But who do you think will get automtaic promotion, plays and who will get relagated. Make them early predictions I'm gonna say: Charlton - Auto Hudders - Auto Leeds - Play offs ( With leeds winning it, against us Kilkenny in extra time!) Oldham - Play offs Colchester - Play offs MK Dons - Play offs Wycombe - relegation Exeter - relegation Stockport - relegation hartlepool - relegation Mite be way off, its a long season a head but shuld be a good one! millsy82 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 ...and you are just sick in the head. Never a truer word said. As for who I think will be promoted/relegated/Play Off's:- I'll opt for 1. Leeds 2. Charlton 3. Huddersfield 4. Colchester 5. MK Dons 6. Oldham 21. Norwich (How funny would that be) 22. Tranmere (Not as funny as that) 23. Wycombe 24. Stockport Quote
LaticsLee Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I think 1. Leeds 2. Huddersfield 3. Charlton 4. Millwall 5. Oldham 6. Colchester 21. Yeovil 22. Carlise 23. Wycombe 24. Stockport Quote
OAFC_Rob Posted August 16, 2009 Author Posted August 16, 2009 Haha! maybee I'm sick in the head or maybe I know LATICS Would just be our luck for Kilkenny to score against us and knock us out! Quote
the_mighty_bosh Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Weren't we getting relegated on Tuesday evening? Love the optimism, but a draw, a defeat and a win in the 1st 3 games indicates mid-table more than anything else. Still way too early to say that we'll make the playoffs. Quote
OldhamSheridan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Okay, if we have to do it this way: 1. Charlton 2. Huddersfield 3. Dirty Yorkshire scum sucking vermin 4. Sarfend 5. Millwall 6. Swindonia 21. Yeovil 22. Carlise 23. Hartlepool 24. Stockport Oldham in mid-table obscurity. Quote
dfOAFC Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Love the optimism, but a draw, a defeat and a win in the 1st 3 games indicates mid-table more than anything else. but 4 points from every 6 indicates 92 points. Quote

Form would indicate mid-table, but looking through the teams in the division I just can't see 8 teams who are better than us. Maybe Southampton if they didn't have a 10 point deduction. Huddersfield and Leeds have the big bucks, Charlton have good support and will be looking to do a Leicester, Norwich will struggle to recover from their opening day mawling, whilst Colchester look like the suprise team by going on a good early run (but will it last?), MK Dons will do okay under Ince and Millwall will be there or there abouts along with Southend and ourselves. When you look at it in the true light of day, I honestly believe that this division is weaker than last seasons. Quote

Better teams than us:Colchester, Charlton, Leeds, Huddersfield, Southend, Millwall, MK, Norwich, Southampton, Swindon (debateable I suppose). Similar: Brentford, Gillingham, Tramps, Brighton. Worse: Walsall, Bristol Rovers, Yeovil, Orient, Exeter, Carlisle, Pools, Stockport, Wycombe. Midtable obscurity beckons. Quote

BlueJazzer Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 4 points from every six doesn't just equate to 92 points, it also indicates we won't lose a single league game. And I'm willing ti bet my car against that! Charlton Oldham Leeds millwall hudders Norwich (winners) Stockport no idea don't care as long as it's not us! Quote

Better teams than us: Leeds, Huddersfield, Charlton. These three teams should be the teams that are challaging for automatic barring some catastrophie. Everyone else is more than capable of beating each other and we are well in there with that group. Obviously you've got your relegation fodder, but the rest of us should all be eyeing a place in the play-offs. This league is wide open. Quote
boundaryblue80 Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....us in the playoffs? Put the crackpipe down lads! Not being a neg at all but we'll be nowhere near. Next season maybe when we stabilise in mid-table (top 10 would be excellent) and then push on. As for winning this league...for me, it's between Charlton and Colchester...and having seen the odds of 588/1 for a Chelski, Newcastle, Colchester, Notts County 4-fold...I'll be having a couple of quid on that. Bring Back Ronnie Moore Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) Better teams than us:Colchester, Charlton, Leeds, Huddersfield, Southend, Millwall, MK, Norwich, Southampton, Swindon (debateable I suppose). Disagree hugely about Millwall, they're team isn't really that good and it's quite an old team. People just overrated them because they overachieved last season. I'm calling it now, Millwall will be midtable if not lower. I called it last season with Carlisle, everyone thought they were hot shít for getting to the play offs the season before and expected them to waltz into the playoffs. I saw the team for what it was and stated that they definitely wouldn't make it. The same goes for Millwall they won't be a playoff candidate this season. Is this the same Colchester team that lost at home to Orient who just lost at home to us? Seriously though, I think those two will do well but I think playoffs is more realistic than automatic. Quote
