As for Blackpool Quote
intheknow Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Preston and Burnley always used to fill the Rocky Road end. Stoke were always noisy when they sang "that" song. Quote
LaticsLee Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Preston and Burnley always used to fill the Rocky Road end. Stoke were always noisy when they sang "that" song. i carnt remeber that far back lol, what song was it they sung ? Quote
rosa Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 i carnt remeber that far back lol, what song was it they sung ? Delilah. Over and over and over again. For two hours. i could quite happily go through life without ever hearing that song again. Quote
Latics_Fanatic Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Sheffield Wednesday brought a fair few in 2004 ? Quote
slurms mckenzie Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Preston and Burnley always used to fill the Rocky Road end. Stoke were always noisy when they sang "that" song. Numbers wise, these two by a mile. Borught 4000+ each in the couple of seasons before they went up. Quote
LaticsLee Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 i mean overall, like numbers noise, banter. everything. Quote
dave_ragg1984 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Numbers wise, these two by a mile. Borught 4000+ each in the couple of seasons before they went up. That game when Burnley brought about 5000, filled the RRE and had to let them in the paddock. Finished 3-3, was a cracking game. Quote
RoytonBlueLad Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I'd go with three of those mentioned in Stoke, Burnley and PNE. Huge numbers and loud from the minute they got in until the very end. None of that drum banging crap from them back then. Quote
Stevie Whitehall Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Plymouth Argyle Your mum's the loudest I've ever heard!! Quote
rudemedic Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Burnley and Preston bought a whole load fairly regularly. Stoke bought decent numbers fairly regularly and then for that one game bought massive numbers- however considering what when on after that game I wonder how many Stoke fans were actually Stoke fans and not just pretending for the riot after. Citeh always seem to bring loads- even for occassional friendlies, but you would expect that (especially when you consider just how many Citeh fans were in the home ends). In terms of noise/numbers I'd give the award to MK Dons not long after they became MK Dons, their 30 fans outsang our 5000 comfortably that day- but that was probably because all their 30 fans were hardcore and if they had bought 150 or so they wouldn't have made any more noise. OldhamSheridan Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Cardiff City? The Yorkie teams (Wednesday, United and Leeds) always seemed to bring a large and vocal following. I was surprised by how good (maybe not in behaviour) Derby were when we played them in the Cup in the early nineties. And the Wolves always brought shed loads and were quite loud. This season it'll be Exeter though. Quote
LaticsLen Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I'd say Cardiff City when they did us 7-1. All they did all afternoon was sing that b***ard song all the welsh clubs sing. This one Quote
creepy Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 i think the delilah song is great, and the welsh one its a shame we dont have a 'club song' to sing - instaed of oooh wheeen theee bluees we need someone like the united fan, who thinks songs up, then stands on a table and belts it out so it catches on Quote
Rocky_Latic Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 QPR were good in the playoff's. Cardiff are usually really good and come in numbers considering the distance. Sheff Wednesday are superb for numbers and noise - "If you dont 'kin bounce". Blackpool are decent. Leeds the same. Burnley used to bring shed loads - Broadway used to be a nightmare when they were here. Remember Preston bringing loads for the first away of the season (think it was the year they went up) Stoke always brought loads - Delilah. City - to be expected. Quote
andy_b_100 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 That game when Burnley brought about 5000, filled the RRE and had to let them in the paddock. Finished 3-3, was a cracking game. I remenber that .... quality match !!! Quote
Corporal_Jones Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 City and United. Only limits on tickets and segregation prevent them, for obvious reasons, filling BP twice over when we play them. Quote
fryatt Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Burnley, Preston,Sunderland, Wolves! west brom- there promotion season in the 70s. loud as hell- and brought over 15,000. real site, the old rochdale rd, full right to the top! Quote

Rocky_Latic Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 wouldnt mind seeing a picture of the old rre full, anyone got any ? No picture, but there's quite a few 'old' video's on http://www.youtube.com/user/numptydumpty2 that show it. Suprised so many people have put down Wolves - All they used to do was sing about Steve Bull and rip seats out before trying to get in the Paddock. Quote
