rudemedic
Gaymer's apple cider (not as cheap as the previous poster). Despite my posts in other forums, I've not had a load either.
OldhamSheridan
Gaymer's apple cider (not as cheap as the previous poster). Despite my posts in other forums, I've not had a load either. I was a bit knarked last night as the Durham Beer Festival ran out of beer at 7pm, as I arrived at 8. I'd have gone on the Friday, but I was busy wiping out brain cells slamming my head off stadium seats. Bit of a way out, but now I've got a thirst, so in two weeks: http://www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=246546

OldhamSheridan
Wonders how he missed Durham having a beer festival? Students Union, although they missed a few years (2005-07 I think) due to people getting knarked about them running out of beer. They came back vowing never to repeat that mistake. So I wouldn't bank on next year happening. I wouldn't mind them running out at 10, but 7. That's about a quarter short they are. Thankfully I stock up rather well, and the Elm Tree isn't too bad. Having a beer festival on the same day as an England game (thus meaning the barcodes and the candy stripers don't have a game) its fairly obvious you get more beer in. Hartlepool do a beer festival too- and its around this time but I don't think its on this year (certainly not on the CAMRA list), Sunderland has an Oktoberfest going on but that looks like it could be naff. beag_teeets
Will you get the opportunity to visit one of Chicago's many Blues Clubs? If the House of Blues is as good as the one in New Orleans, it'll be worth a visit. http://www.centerstagechicago.com/music/cl...e-of-blues.html Didn't make it to the House of Blues but did get to Buddy Guy's Legends - http://buddyguy.com/ which was good, a bit on the warm side though, I was sweating more than Michael Jackson's doctor. Yard Dog
Watermelon juice and crushed ice. Sounds nice. Bit too exotic for my gaff though....ASDA own brand orange cordial and lukewarm tap water is what gets served up 'ere. Although I have 'treated' myself to a couple of bottles of Sol tonight.... rudemedic
red bull? why don't you just prescribe yourself amphetamines like every other doctor does? Er Red Stripe- the Caribbean* beer. *Provided the Caribbean has a Bedfordshire outpost.
rosa
ah right, for some reason i thought red stripe was cheap rip-off red bull. i wondered why you'd have a nice view drinking it. you probably don't want to take amphetamines with it then. LeylandLatic
At this exact second i'm drinking a can of Carlsberg Export, but my current favourite drink has to be Sailor Jerry's Rum, truly exquisite, almost out of it as well
Matt
I usually drink Corona (clearly not at this time in the morning - and as a further sidenote without the lime slice either) and to a lesser extent Sol, but the Brazilian beer Brahma is a lot smoother. I recommend it. I suppose I'll get this smiley in before anybody else does.... There we go.
