In my first season (86/87) we played a few games on Friday Night and it wasn't a rare occurence for a number of years (off the top of my head)

Went to both of those. Tranmere lives long in the memory for the utter capitulation, followed by a monumental piss up.

That was my brother's first Latics game. he didn't get invited to another game til Peterborough at home in April. i wish public transport was running on Boxing Day so i didn't have to rely on him for a lift to the Tranmere game.

 

i f**king hate Friday night football.
