Happened more than a few times in the 90's. There was some odd goings on back then. His book is available in a shop in Rochdale for a fiver too. Decent read.

In answer to JSS's conundrum I'd say option iv. Le Tiss did this but him doing so didn't have an affect on the outcome of the match all it would have done is a few bookies off- but if they are stupid enough to have a betting market for such a thing then that is there problem. Paul Kitson did this and I think he got away with it- he even managed to kick it out without being very subtle about it, I'd be surprised if the FA and whoever do anything to Le Tiss about it- its not like he can play anymore so they can't suspend him.
