24hoursfromtulsehill
One question 24hours. RedEd's assertions that he is not union puppet (despite their votes giving him the job), is that a lie or political expediency? Let's look at this from a purely practical point of view. The unions might have played a part in getting Red Ed the gig, but they can't get rid of him. Everyone knows that union influence on policy is at something of an historic low. Try this counter-factual thought process. Say D:Mil had won, but the unions backed Ed. The line you would read in the Tory press would be, "Miliband elected by MPs but has no support in the wider party." when you break it down like that, it appears that there's something wrong with every outcome, but in fact, the new leader has something of a blank slate. He doesn't owe the people who elected him, he just has to honour what he promised in the campaign.
OldhamSheridan
You are all asking daft questions here. What we need to know is: is Ed Miliband Ray Romano?
