Fruitygoo Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Read on the official that he's ruptured his cruciate and damaged cartilage in his knee.... Having done exactly the same - i feel for the lad because it's a horrible injury and the recovery is a nightmare. He'll be out for the season.....good luck to him and his recovery! Quote

Crusoe Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 (edited) Hate to say it, but that could be career ending. To have suffered so much from injuries at that age may force him to call it a day, as he'll be behind other lads by the time he's fit. Suspect he won't be here next year - he only got s one tear deal given his poor injury record. I hope I'm wrong on this, of course. Edited August 13, 2010 by Crusoe Quote

Gutted for the young lad, and I echo what’s been said – I think this injury spells the end of his career at Latics – his injury record is very poor and this serious injury will pretty much rule him out of the season. It’s a shame as I saw him a few times for the youths & reserves; and whilst he’s not the biggest physically; he’s a box of tricks and pacey – I thought he’d figure at various points this season if he’d stayed fit. All the best Philip – here’s to a speedy & uncomplicated recovery....... Quote

Very bad news for him, was only given a 1 year deal because of his injury problems last season. He has looked a promising player from what I've seen and heard. I hope he can recover from this and be given a short-term deal in the summer to see if he can get over this injury. Quote
oafc0000 Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Poor lad... Future might be outside football unfortunately.. Good luck to him... Quote

I think that's the best he can hope for really - a long(er) contract surely wont be tabled after this injury & his track record injury wise? Poor lad, I feel for him - gutting..... While we're at it; any news on Brookey? Has it been said how long he's out for? Quote

RobOAFC Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Estimated to be out 6-8 months.. With his age am hoping it will be the 6 months.. So that means he could be back around Feb... Could still feature for us a few times this season.. Quote
