fleetwood Blue Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Just listening to radio Notts commentry of Fleetwood Town vs Mansfield, Fleetwood are currently 3 nil up and Parker has missed a one on one when clean through and a missed a penalty. Quote
opinions4u Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Missed a penalty? That's something he never did for us. Quote
razza699 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 haha It was only yesterday I was wondering about him Did you have to bring up Kiegan Parker I had started to forget him , youve now made me Wiki him and surprise surprise he hasnt adapted to the Conference yet Quote
PlayItLivo Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) He hasn't scored two games into the season? Yeah, he's flopped again. I hope Feeney scores in his next game, other wise you'll all consider him a flop too. LOL Edited August 18, 2010 by PlayItLivo Quote

I know how much you love Parker and how excited you were when he joined, but surely you've now got to admit that he's toss. Quote

I never liked Parker mate, always thought he was a bit of an upstart and a disruptive influence. Writing a player off after two games is silly. Even if he was rubbish for us and he's finished at this level, that doesn't mean he won't have a decent season at Mansfield. Calling him anyone a flop after two games is a tad pre-mature. wendy Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Comment from a Mansfield town supporter who went last night: Good at falling down and winning free kicks / reasonable on the ball / can't take penalties and doesn't like being bullied by 15stone meatheads - could be a long season for him ! He also missed one-on-ones in the first match and in a pre-season friendly. I did express my sympathies when I heard Mansfield had signed him. Quote

razza699 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 As the old cliché goes, next week's lottery numbers, please? I will confidently say he wont score 5 goals this season Quote
fleetwood Blue Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 As the old cliché goes, next week's lottery numbers, please? Parker is crap, he had 2 good seasons at scumpool many moons ago and if he regains that form then i will match next weeks lottery jackpot and quite happily give it to you. Quote

He is crap, that's why he's dropped down to non league. But not scoring in two games doesn't make you a flop. Come the end of the season if he hasn't scored x amount of goals, then you call someone a flop. But the idea of calling anyone a flop after two games is plain ridiculous. Quote

The thread starts Parker flops again, as i explained earlier i was referring to last nights game and his inability as a striker to score a fu...ing goal. I have not said Parker is a major flop at Mansfield this season because he hsa only scored 2 goals all season because im not mystic fooking meg. Quote
Gentleman Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Went along yesterday and he was pretty poor. Quote

GlossopLatic Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 so you dont think going from the championship to non league in 5 years is classed as a flop? . It was 3 years actually Quote
Stitch_KTF Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Whilst he was crap, I think the sheer level of abuse Parker came in for was way over the top. I suppose the worst season in recent times needed a bigger boo-boy than the average season, and Parker was the prime candidate given most didn't like him before he even pulled the shirt on. To be fair to the bloke, I think it's a credit to him that he never reacted to the abuse; not even a parting shot in the press as far as I can remember? Quote

I think to put a parting shot out in the press; you have to have feelings / emotions on the subject. In Parkers case; I really don't think he cared enough to be even the slightest bit bothered. His attitude for the game has just gone; seen in his rapid decent down the leagues. The bloke basically doesn't give a sh1&e...... Quote

The bloke basically doesn't give a sh1&e...... Perhaps, though if that really was the case I wouldn't have expected him to agree to a loan move to Bury, nor would I expect him to have taken the ignominy of a move to a Conference club for a relative pittance. Maybe he just wants to keep fit? Quote
Zorrro Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 It might even be a status thing. Clinging on to the "I'm a professional footballer, ladies..." angle for as long as possible. Quote
PlayItLivo Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 so you dont think going from the championship to non league in 5 years is classed as a flop? . No. That's not what a flop is. You can be good at one club, go to another with expectations of playing just as well as you did at your previous club and failing that is a flop. His career spiralling down to non league, isn't flop, that doesn't even make sense. So, the title of the thread is "Keighan [sic] Parker flops again". And of course 2 games in adequate time to judge whether a player has/will flop or not? I'm not saying he won't flop, but to write him off at Manfield as a flop after two games, as I said is ludicrous. Quote
