Crusoe Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 M'voto. Gregan isn't match fit yet and M'voto needs game time to settle himself (otherwise he was a pointless signing). Once we're two up (ideally), then bring Gregan on. Quote
cornishblue Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 M'voto for me he was brought to the club to play football matches i think he deserves his chance. Quote
opinions4u Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 If it's a choice between players of equal fitness, Gregan. If not, I shall let the inspirational manager weave his magic with the decision. Quote
MaskedOwl Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Can we not appeal against the second yellow for JJ? Or would it be pointless after his reaction? Quote
OldhamSheridan Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Can we not appeal against the second yellow for JJ? Or would it be pointless after his reaction? Can't appeal yellow cards. For me you play fit players. So Mvoto or McDonald, which in reality appears to be Mvoto. Quote
HarryBosch Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Can't appeal yellow cards. another ridiculous rule from the wonderful people who run/ruin the game Quote
laticsrblue Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Can we not appeal against the second yellow for JJ? Or would it be pointless after his reaction? He may get more than a one match ban after his reaction. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Quote

I'm keeping my fingers crossed Doubt it will make the referees report (especially after seeing what a cock up he made of the decision). I'd be stunned if he got anything further. Quote
Delfer Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 M'Voto. I'm a big Greegs fan but Dickov will be pragmatic and rightly so. Quote
LaticsLee Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 M'voto will start, gregan not fit needs a few more weeks yet for gregan Quote
razza699 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Gregan was at Preston on Sat limping up the stairs so I doubt he is anywhere near match fitness. Quote
slystallone Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Gregan was at Preston on Sat limping up the stairs so I doubt he is anywhere near match fitness. After watching his movement pretty closely in the reserve games last week; I happen to think it’s a pretty easy decision for PD; M’Voto will have to play. Gregan is a big way off being fit; he looked laboured all game; struggled to match the pace of the game (which was bitty to say the least too) and was caught out numerous times. M’Voto played in the Carling cup and for a mighty 5 mins or so on Saturday too. I think we’re closer to seeing either Rod Mc or newby Rodrigo play a first team than we are Gregan at present; he’s ages away IMO. Quote
laticsrblue Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 (edited) M'Voto. But I'm glad it's only for the Yeovil game. It's a shame the JPT wasn't a wek earlier to give M'Voto 90 mins match practice before throwing him in at the deep end. Not sure if Gregan will ever be fit enough after his injury lay off. He played 15+ games for Southend last season. Quote
laticsrblue Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Deepend? He played 15+ games for Southend last season. I was meaning deep end for this season, he hasn't played any friendlies with us and I'm not sure how much of a pre season he had at Sunderland. He seemed very rusty in the Carling cup. Quote
Bristolatic Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 If Greegs wasn't even fit enough to be in the 20 man squad at Charlton, there's no way he'll be fit enough for Saturday. It has to be M'Voto, who will be fitter now than he was at Scunny, having trained since then. I know he didn't have long enough at Charlton to judge him, but he didn't look out of his depth. He won headers seemed quite at home. If he plays, and has a stormer against the carrot crunchers, will he stay in the side or will Jarrett be an automatic choice again? If Greegs still isn't fit, that is. Quote
