With the feel good factor back at BP , we need to appoint a sales/marketing director now.

 

I know the advert went last week out but we havent had anyone to fill the post that Sean Jarvis left when he went to Udders.

 

From memory it was mentioned that we need 6500- 7000 home fans per match to break even , which can be achieved if the marketing is correct.

 

I just hope we dont do it on the very cheap, we need a quality person in this role.

I'd suspect that the 6,500 was with the previous budget. I would expect that to be a fair bit lower now (5,500?).

Guy Walker has been there a fair few months.

 

He's handed his notice in - he realised marketing :censored:e for a fee wasn't feasible.

 

With this manager/team .... it's a job I'd kill for.

Not A Direcotor going for the strategic role, more someone to be doing the donkey work.

Im sure the club will be looking to bring in a Marketing manager soon to fill the position.

 

Trust Oldham and The Oldham Community Trust are well into devising structures to hopefully bring a few new faces to games to fill the many empty seats.

 

Ideas are picked up by the club, slowly but they are picked up.

As leeslover has mentioned before, the two home games coming up against yeovil and bristol rov are not going to attract big crowds and they won't bring much support,so now, with the team playing well and the feelgood factor back, would be a great time to try and attract any floating supporters back.

 

Maybe both games for £25 or £30 for adults and kids a nominal amount.

Indeed, kids for nowt/£2 for both games would be a great idea. Get 'em young.

This year I think a lot of people would have been less bothered about missing games in August due to the rubbish served up last year and arranged holidays accordingly. Come sept I can see a fair few more down the ground if they carry on as they have done.
