Latics_Fanatic Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) In the aftermath of the fire at Boundary Park, Latics now have to make a decision on whether they should keep the box or get rid. Interesting to see what people think on here Edited August 23, 2010 by Latics_Fanatic Quote
oafcprozac Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Repair then get rid. Well I for one hope they repair/replace it as they'll be £5/600 down on the oackage we have booked for the Huddersfield game as they'll have to refund us. Which would be a shame as we'll miss out on a good pissup, the club will lose the readies and my liver will be celebrating! Quote
Ernie For England Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 The poll doesn't make sense. The two options are keep it or repair it. Isn't that the same thing? Quote
Ernie For England Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I think we should get rid of it by the way. Quote
opinions4u Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Cost of rental v income generated, taking in to account time required (new ground etc). Can't vote because without knowing the finances behind it all it's impossible to call. So I vote for whichever is best for the finances of the football club. Quote
HarryBosch Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 it depends whether this is another Lookers stand that was costing more than it was making and, therefore, a blessing in disguise i suppose we'll find out over the next few days Quote

oafcprozac Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Not sure if there's a problem Stitch, PM me if there is and perhaps you can get it off your chest because to be honest you're starting to get right on my tits Edited August 23, 2010 by oafcprozac Quote

I might not have bothered but fact is I'm off poorly, bless me, so it seems I'll be flitting between OWTB and Youporn for large sections of the day. I really ought to try and sort out my clothes mind, this becoming a joke. A little dusting wouldn't go amiss either. Quote
singe Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 THe cost of repair is estimated at around £40,000 perhaps more. but that includes, money that has to be spent on CCTV anyway. So it would be interesting to see how much income would be lost. Seems hard to lose that income, but that is a large expenditure. The big question is the extent it is covered by insurance. Quote

Interesting to see what people think on here Presuming it is a write off we should get paid up by the insurance.....it would be pointless to erect again if we are moving to a new stadium. It would depend totally on answering the big question...... how long before we move!!!!! Quote
singe Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) Teenagers thought to be to blame. but Paul Dickov and Chris Taylor might have some explaining of their whereabouts.... And they don;t look that old..... lick click this link, whatver you do. Direct from 'Fishul Although he was talking about Lewi, after the game, Dickov said "We are lucky to have Chris Taylor to come into side and he will have benefited from playing around 70 minutes against Charlton. "Chris did a lot of hard work for the team and he will be better fitness and confidence wise for that. "Much as it is a disappointment to lose Lewis, it is a bonus to have Chris back. "And if we have a fit Chris Taylor on fire, he is probably one of the best players in this division." PPS can can anyone sort out th elink on the Fishul, the News Update goes to Saturdays page. garcon Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Get rid and stick a line of prefab 'exec' boxes along the Broadway side. It'll look ridiculous, but at least Luton'll feel at home when we play them in the Conference. Quote

Might be a bit tricky catering wise though! Adn you would not neccesarily need to fillt hem, some could be used for storage etc. Quote

Delfer Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 Its simply a question of cost v income; surely we can trust the Board to do the sums? Why would the fans have a better idea? Almst as daft as the person who suggested people on here could group together and do the Marketing Managers job! Quote
