oafc-latics Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 ...alongside Healy, who some people on here were thinking would be a good signing for us Quote
Latics_Fanatic Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Least he's going out on duty to do something, not a bench warmer. Quote
slurms mckenzie Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 "Sir David" would be a bloody brilliant signing. One of my favourite none latics players of the past 10 years. I'm sure that Warren will come good for us though. Quote
JoeP Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Least he's going out on duty to do something, not a bench warmer. Anyone know how he played tonight? Great result for them - hopefully that will give Feeney a bit of a confidence boost. Quote
PlayItLivo Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) Most NI fans were very critical of Worthington for picking Feeney and Healy instead of Lafferty (Rangers) and Paterson (Burnley). Healy looks shot, he isn't playing regularly for his club and he hasn't produced the goods for NI in quite some time. But Feeney ran himself into the ground for 90 minutes, according to NI fans he's Northern Ireland through and through and "he'd sweat blood for NI". I think we've all seen his effort and commitment on the pitch, especially at Tranmere, still I'd like the guy to start banging them in pretty soon, hopefully he's getting close to full fitness. Apparently he's not an out an out goalscorer, more your Paul Warne type player who will chip in with a handful per season! Quote
biggie21 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 our leading striker, swans off across the channel, hardly even seen him in a latics shirt Quote

Most NI fans are just critical of Worthington anyway regardless of who he plays, Lafferty has done nothing over the border to warrant a place anyhow, he is slowly becoming the whipping boy at Ibrox. I think Feeney will be an asset to us when he is fully fit. Quote
MaskedOwl Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 this guna be a rodney jack scenario? Quote
Simpo Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Feeney will miss Brentford away in October, and Tranmere at home in March. Quote
