If what I've heard about City we've no chance. There were deals in place to sign a couple of players from City, McGivern (now at Walsall) was one, the idea was to build on Dickov's connections at City. The deals were all set to be rubber stamped with Latics contributing a nominal percentage of their wages and City covering the rest. City's Football Administrator Brian Marwood kiboshed the deal stating that "other clubs would contribute more to the players wages" and why should City subsidise Oldham?

 

Marwoods's a bitter twit with an 'a', perhaps his bollocks are still aching from Denis Irwin's free-kick or was Kevin Richardson?

 

 

In short can't see it happening.
