Familiar face at Wrexham last night

What happened? I don't remember anything about that.

He was our next big hope after the last one in the early 90s. A striker, He was an Associate School-Boy with us I believe. United tapped him up, meaning he turned down a YTS with us, signing for United instead, Latics complained to the FA, United were fined and ordered to pay us a measly sum. Taggart believed they had done nothing wrong and he refused to deal with us for years after that re: loanees etc..

He was soon binned by United, ending up at Hull - never set the world alight at all - another Scott Spencer...

Didnt realise he retired at 27  he is now 33 and a coach at sunderland

Clegg spent time on loan at Ipswich Town and Wigan Athletic[1] before he joined Division Two club Oldham Athletic on a free transfer on 19 February 2002.[3] In his first season Oldham qualified for the Division Two playoffs, but the club then went into administration and Clegg helped a heavily reshaped squad stay clear of relegation in his final season before retiring as a professional footballer at the age of 27.[7]

Clegg was appointed by Roy Keane as Sunderland's strength and conditioning coach.[8] Clegg's father, Mike, is strength and conditioning coach at Manchester United.[9]
