rudemedic
West Ham have given Avram Grant Saturday off as its Yom Kippur http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...utd/9002873.stm Does that mean we will do the same for Furman and Jacobsen? Lags
I take it you go to work on Christmas day then. What's that got to do with religion being tosh? I certainly don't sit there thinking of Jesus. As it turns out I've worked over Christmas (not Day) for years. Mainly in Holland.
beag_teeets
To be fair, I bet the thinking behind this is get him out of the way and it might mean they get a decent result.

jsslatic
Was thinking this myself recently. I'd assume it will be their decision. I'm sure the club would be at some sort of legal fault if they punished them for not playing because of religious reasons...that said I highly doubt SC would kick up a fuss given one would expect he'll be doing the same thing. Ackey
My opinion on religion is well documented. However given that the players (Christian or otherwise) have to train on Christmas Day for the Boxing Day games why should the Jewish players be given the day off for some equally fictitious event?
