Rookie Ref

Recommended Posts

It isnt a matter of experience but more of personality, if hes one that likes to make sure hes noticed in a game then we can see a few dodgy decisions,

especially with the FA's stance of referee makes dodgy decisions = no action, complain = ban and fine

I think alan shearer said it best when he said that referees should just get the name on the back of their shirts maybe then they will stop trying to make a name for themselves,

they say they dont want any hassle and stuff yet they are going out giving interviews now etc

Bound to be a whistle happy tosser then with absolutely no common sense or understanding of the game!!

I'd be quite happy to be referred back to this post and take it back if he has a blinder!!

He may end up being whistle happy but his card average gives the impression that he is quite leanient on that front.

Nah, you haven't got the hang of this at all. Before the game you question his ability, and point out that it is likely that he is a Leyton Orient fan. At best he'll be whistle happy and send of ten of our players whilst gifting them twenty odd goals.

After the game, you make up a load of tosh about the game and how the ref made several 'wrong decisions' and was at best inept - no matter what he does.

See Tuesday for the latter point. The guy made pretty much 95% correct decisions, including (the important decisions of) several clashes with Wednesday players where they were looking for something. He let play run, and then pulled back for yellow cards. But, no, he gave a handball where the ball was hit very swiftly against the defenders hand. A harsh call, yes. But he's bound to be one of the better refs we have this season.

Oops, sorry. I meant he was a cock and no Friend of ours, etc...
