It gets worse for the scousers

I think the Premier League will find that Liverpool somehow fits the clause whereby despite the parent companygoing into administration the club itself is not technically insolvent and therefore should not receive the points deduction.

Their precedent will be the case of West Ham, where the company of their Icelandic owners went into administration but the club itself didn't. Those who disagree will point to Southampton...

Southampton though are a FL club and therefore that's where their punishment came from. Premier League punishments are handed out by the Premier League (as was the case with Portsmouth) from what I understand. I agree though that it is likely Liverpool will escape any points deduction as West Ham have done twice - through financial difficulties and the Tevez saga.

why are big, big clubs like liverpool, southampton and sheffield wednesday even being linked with administration? even man united have massive debts.

Because they are financially incompetent and spend more than they earn?

And in liverpools case, because they owe ALOT of £££ to RBS and RBS want it back

United are a ticking timebomb, profits of £100m +, turned into a loss of £80m surely cannot be sustained.
