eddyblue
Yes. Still remember being amazed at Bobby's skill. It was 5-2 after being 2-0 down IIRC
Bristolatic
Aye, what a great day. I remember thinking "Where have all these people come from?" You usually had a 2 minute walk to get a light off someone for your fag.

I went to my first game Boxing day that season.......Bobby Johnstone is probably the best player I have ever seen at the club ..when he wanted to be of course. BP1960
Happy anniversary!my grandad was at that game.how earthshattering was it to have signed him do you think?Wonder what the modern equivalent would be I was there, it just shows how the enterprise of making a star signing captured the imagination of the public. Something worth trying again...and if Paul Scholes decides to leave MU next season to join the Latics it could have the same crowd boosting effect. khlatics4ever
The wee lad was a f****n genius couldn't run for anything but didn't need to.Just found space recieved the ball then splayed it either foot on a sixpence. the nearest thing i've seen to him was probably Johnny Giles of Leeds. I must admit though Fabrigas is top notch tho' when he's on song he's superb and probably going to be the greatest midfielder ever.
