JoeP Posted October 30, 2010 Share Posted October 30, 2010 Back when OASIS was a semi-official organisation, run by Dave_Og and latterly myself, there used to be a membership fee to join. The fee was intended to cover costs such as creating and sending out a monthly newsletter (pre-internet days!) and player sponsorship, which we did on a yearly basis. The membership fee was in place from 1986 (when the organisation was first founded) to 2004. Due to the popularity and success of Latics over this period, there was usually an underspend each season, due to the number of members OASIS had. This meant that in 2004, when OASIS ceased to exsist as a memberhsip fee-based organisation, there was £392.33 left in the account. This money has sat in the account since and, as it would be impossible to divide the cash up amoungst those who have paid into it, we’ve decided to give the entire amount to PlayerShare.
