OldhamSheridan
Arse. hampshire 324 all out. Follow on beckons. Think that finishes that one sadly.
JoshOWTB
Turns out I'm off to watch the game tomorrow with the old man but I haven't followed any of the cricket for a while... Do we have to hope Warwickshire lose in order to win the league? Or can we win it if they win their game too?
opinions4u
I think, if both sides win, Warwickshire have the title by 1 point. Edited September 14, 2011 by opinions4u
OldhamSheridan
Warwickshire are needed to not win. Hampshire are down now. Guess how that one is going to be. Short and sweet me predicts.
jsslatic
I think they have it by 3 points, but that's splitting hairs. Damn you Hampshire.
JoshOWTB
I'm trying to understand the scoring system, far too complex for me! But I'll figure it out tomorrow I'm sure!

Simply put, we have to do better than Warwickshire (win v draw/draw v loss).
opinions4u
I think they have it by 3 points, but that's splitting hairs. Damn you Hampshire. I think you're right. My calculations got lost somewhere between 1986 (when I last knew the rules) and before the last couple of Hants' wickets fell. So quite happy to stand aside on this Tornado at the Rose Bowl tomorrow?

jsslatic
Could that let Durham in? No, Warks have too many points now thanks to their bonuses.
opinions4u
No, Warks have too many points now thanks to their bonuses. I really do need to keep up don't I !! Shame BBC don't do a "live table".
OldhamSheridan
Well Somerset are 5/5 in reality. Our game will surely finish with us winning. Hampshire one down already, and its the nearly honourable Lancastrian Liam Dawson. Edit: And by one, I meant three. Its been a fantastic attempt for the players we have this season. jsslatic
BBC weather says for Birmingham tomorrow... HEAVY RAIN! Edit: No it doesn't, that's Friday. Bugger. Edited September 14, 2011 by jsslatic

opinions4u
Hampshire: 324 & 204-3 (59.5 overs) Warwickshire: 493 (156.1 overs) Somerset: 380 & 265-8 (92.3 overs) Lancashire: 480 (126.2 overs) Don't fancy chasing 200 in quick time to win. It's not ideal but if offered chasing 200 in a session and a bit at Taunton to win the league I think we'd have taken that at the start of the season...and every juncture between then and now to be honest. I'm beginning to think that JSS was right all along. Brings back nasty memories of the Oval in '07. I'm gonna have to switch it off I think.
