JonesyOAFC
I genuinely can't remember a thing about Wadsworth's spell here. The only thing I can remember about him associated with Latics full stop is him buying Paul Murray from us when he was at Beira Mar... Butter
I genuinely can't remember a thing about Wadsworth's spell here. The only thing I can remember about him associated with Latics full stop is him buying Paul Murray from us when he was at Beira Mar... He signed shed loads of players on big fees and massive wages. One being Allan Smart- scored a class goal against Brentford on a Tuesday night, shocking miss against Bury- in the Collusso game.

I wish I could rinse Dave Penney's reign out my memory as easily as I have Wadsworths...
Frankly Mr Shankly
Wadsworth was in charge when we won 3-2 at Hull City in the FA Cup, and the 1-0 win at Barrow in the earlier round. Seem to recall we had a few superb matches, such as beating Promoted Stoke City at home, winning away at Blackpool and blowing away the champions Brighton at home. That was balanced with the opposite, absolute :censored:e such as yet another defeat at Port Vale (one of many), the 1-7 home hammering to Cardiff City and 2-5 slaughtering at home to Blackpool in the Leyland DAF or whatever it was called back then. He's about a dour a post-match interviewee as you'll see too.

bpmarko
Anybody else think this thread was going to be about Sir Andy's love of a particular inner London borough? Personally, I thought it was going to be a prison story.
