oafc joe
Hi, I'm a Chester fan but using my brother's OWTB account. As you may be aware, we went bust in February 2010 so I decided to follow the Latics for the rest of the season as both my brother and Dad are die-hard Oldham fans. I went to probably about a dozen games that season, and your captain Sean Gregan was absolutely unbelievable, and I don't think I saw a better centre-half in the league that season. Chester have since reformed as a fan-owned club in the Evo-Stik North (4th tier of non-league with Mossley, Curzon Ashton etc) and after winning the title last season are now in the Evo-Stik Premier. We are due to play Kendal Town on Wednesday, so I decided to have a quick look at their squad and was genuinely stunned to see Mr Sean Gregan smiling back at me on the website. I just wanted to ask whether you know exactly what has happened to Gregan - have his legs finally gone completely? I just find it baffling that a guy who was so good can have dropped 4 divisions in just 18 months

Totally nothing to do with this but did anyone see Big Jeans skill on Saturday ? When he completly miskicked a pass and ended up kicking the ball twice in a forward flip flap motion , classic

Good news for us I guess, but sad for non-league football as someone like Gregan could really have helped boost the standing of what sounds a tin-pot useless waste of time league, but is actually a very competency's league with lots of ex-league pro's and supported by genuine football fans - not the armchair Premier:censored:E faithful that congregate in their United tops every Saturday afternoon and claim to be loyal supporters
