Recommended Posts

1. Apologies from Barry Owen.

2. From last meeting. Playershare are still to confirm that the current manager and former players/managers still want to actively join the scheme.

3. Club are still keen to support player share and thank us for our contribution in bringing in Shefki Kuqi

4. Finances.

· We have 69 members contributing every month as of 01.10.11 and we have just over £5000 in the Playershare account after current commitments to Shefki Kuqi have been met.

· We are still missing contact details for some members and we are going to try and resolve this as we need to be able to get pin badges to them and of course, give them updates of what we are doing.

· Playershare have agreed to contribute to Shefki Kuqi's wages until January'12

5. Marketing.

· We will be advertising in season tickets and programmes again.

· We have a representative now manning a station near the tuck shop in the Chaddy end to be on hand to answer questions and sign people up

· Rick Attwood has advised us of a possible Q&A night to be held at the Rifle range with Paul Dickov. Poss. mid week early Dec. Its in the early stages of negotiation but Rick will keep us advised of how we can plug this/sell tickets etc

· Rick rolled out the new PlayerShare logo that includes the new club badge we will be using this soon.

· Members update/new members. Tracy has drafted a "welcome" letter, the committee need to approve the wording/possible using some photo Images and then Craig can use it when sending out the pin badges. Tracy has offered to contact ongoing contributors by email with letter or mail. Looking to use from November onwards. Also a leaver letter

· Rick advise the committee of new PlayerShare awareness events such as on Latics world, Exile competitions, Possible interview with OAFC BOB when he visits the UK, new leaflets

· Trust Oldham have commissioned and paid for a one off canvas print of Shefki Kuqi. We are hoping the player will sign it and it will then go on the official site in the next few days for auction. The trust hope the auction will raise £500.00 for PlayerShare and we thank the trust for their efforts

· Craig Lavis has suggested we get Paul Dickov to wear a PlayerShare coloured badge when he is representing the club. This is to raise awareness and our profile. Rick to speak to Barry Owen with regards to approaching PD.

· Accessibility for fans for Q&A. Suggestion when we are having one of our meetings that "live Chat" is open on OWTB so fans can contact us online and we can give immediate feedback. This is so fans far away can contact us

· Wycombe at home game 22nd October. Rick advised us of the family fun day the club are holding that Playershare have been asked to have a station to promote the scheme. Rick has asked for volunteers on the day. Tracy Wright has offered to help.

· Wycombe game. We are hoping to have some of the fundraising walkers on the pitch to make a presentation to Playershare. We still have a couple of pledges to collect and they have until the 20.10.11 but we should not be far off the original £500.00 target. The committee thanks all those that took part in the organising, the walkers, the online support, and the two vehicle support drivers and of course the fans who followed us on line and donated too.

· Rick has kindly offered to pay for the printing of some PlayerShare high visi bib's/jackets. Representatives can then wear them in the ground so fans can then recognise and approach the rep to discuss/join PlayerShare

· Janet has suggested a re-designing of poster that we have around the ground. Current ones lack visual images that we want the fan to read and maybe join PlayerShare.

· To promote more the www.buy.at/extra. Website that lookers Carl has arranged. Every purchase by this site from buyers gives the PlayerShare a % of the sale.

· To look at ways to promote as much as we can our biggest asset of Shefki Kuqi, with the clubs permission.

6. Fans suggestions/ideas

· From last meetings. Car boot sale at Latics. Suggestion from Fan up the ladder. Barry has said there use to be but then there were residents who complained but we could look into it again. Barry/Rick to approach the club. Maybe a monthly, quarterly account booster for PlayerShare. Suggestion by Chris and Janet that Sundays may not be the best day.

· Peanut from OWTB suggest a car treasure hunt £10.00 a car. Janet raised concerns that the Police may not be happy with "X" amount of cars racing around Oldham. However, Rick has suggest instead something very similar but for an away game, so supporters in the North and South could pit against each other to collect the clues along the way to the away ground

· Lookers Carl has suggested a PlayerShare dinner. Currently the trusts are running one called "later with latics" on 02.11.11. Can PlayerShare run one maybe march?

7. Any other Business

· The committee tonight welcomes new committee member Ian McAlister (Macca). Also Will.......who has offered to represent/recruit OASIS members.

· The committee was offered the support and services of another fan a month or so ago, but it seems the offer may no longer in place as that fan no longer supports OAFC and we feel it would not be in the committee's best interest to take the offer up. Tracy Wright will contact this fan to say thanks but no thanks

· Currently, there are nine members on the committee, eight are Oldham based and one is based in the south. Pete Newell donates his time to attend the meetings solely as an independent fan and his happy to continue in this role as well as Jan Curtis

· The committee has decided to have regular meetings every two months, roughly the second week of each month at various locations across the borough.

· Future fundraising events. We always welcome and encourage fans suggestions for fundraising; however we have learned a hard lesson in the last few weeks when it comes to us having a "hands off" approach. The committee now feels to protect and build upon PlayerShare good name that a committee member should have an acting role in any events that are to raise money for the scheme. It might be as simple as creating a sponsor form or setting guidelines with regards to how and when monies should be put into the scheme.

8. Date of next meeting?

· TBA, on date but we are looking at the second week in Dec, possible at the Rifle Range

END
