MaskedOwl Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 A big blow this as i thought him and Kuqi had got a good thing going. I think Smith and Kuqi are too similar to play together and i'm not convinced with Morais playing behind the striker (altho solves his failure to track back problem). Taylor to play just behind Kuqi for me. Once again getting a bit light in this department. Loan striker on the way? Sunderland seem to have a few to spare.. Quote
beag_teeets Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Pretty obvious from the way he pulled up that it would be about 6 weeks, hamstrings usually are, we'll be lucky to see him this side of xmas though. Quote
Fruitygoo Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Nice to see some mention of parker on there.....half forgot about him there has been such little info. Really started to take to his style at scunthorpe - be good to have him back Quote

Zorrro Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 From my comfy-ish seat in the Sports Café, it looked like a pulled quad. Quote

opinions4u Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Simpson upfront?? A week ago I'd have said Morais. But we looked sharper at Tranmere when Simpson went up front with Kuqi and Morais was shifted out wide. Was surprised Simpson came off later in the game. Quote
LaticsLen Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Billy paynter on a months loan anyone? putting 2+2 together and all that but dirty Leeds are considering a loan bid from a league one club for Paynter. Quote
JonesyOAFC Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 4-3-3 anyone? Taylor - Kuqi - Morais I doubt, wisely, we'd switch from 4-4-2, but it could be interesting... Quote
oafc1955 Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Simpson upfront?? Absolutely.....it's his preferred position and would be his big chance to get back to playing upfront. I can't see a hope in hell of getting a player in on loan and in any case I think we have enough options to be able to get by until Reid is fit!! Taylor, Morais, Simpson, Smith, Brooke,.............. I reckon this is indeed us, because as you said Len, on SSN it said they are considering it? Could be in the squad for tomorrow, I wait to see if it develops... Quote
opinions4u Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 (edited) Paynter would be great to have alongside Kuqi. Dickov has said there's no chance of a loan coming in though. Presumably that changes if we shift somebody out though. http://www.givemefootball.com/championship/six-track-united-striker Sounds like he'll be staying in the Chumpionship.
