Once Scum, always Scum

Whether this is proved or not, there was supposedly a similar incident whilst he was here, during a team bonding session that never made it as far as being reported to The Police….What were we thinking signing this :censored:?Scum

He was a proven striker who scored lots of goals...

Yes he did, barely played in his first season. Had a decent second season before his off-field antics played more than their part in our season imploding. Glad that Joe Royle saw through him, bonus or not owing, Joe was right to bin him.

What about him attacking Alan Hardy last season?

The club being dragged through the mill when signing him. Our family club image took a battering.

The alleged incident at The White Hart

Regularly being seen :censored:-faced around Saddleworth?

He made promises to reform and help the local community, this mostly never happened.

His stupid red-card at Northampton and numerous other occasions when he got away with grabbing opponents by the throat, stamping and being an all round :censored:-house!

His goals will never make up for what a grade A :censored: he is…..

Give me a man with decency and integrity like Kuqi any time. Hughes may be more prolific but Kuqi is worth ten of Hughes….

Scum

Or to translate, whether this was proved or not, the fact that there was another unproved incident somehow proves that Lee Hughes has def done something wrong here.

Edit - He is a :censored: though

I didn't have a problem with him playing for us, or with people singing his name. He'd served his time and i think people deserve a second chance. I don't know him well enough to say whether he's used that chance wisely, and I'm a bit reluctant to believe anything the Sun says. If this allegation does turn out to be true though, he deserves to get the book thrown at him. I'm guessing he was released from jail early on licence so if he's found guilty he'll be going straight back.

It didn't sit well with me at all at Burnley when a large section of our fans started to sing out his name. He was straight out of jail, He hadn't kicked a ball for us yet but it was "Hughesy Hughesy".....Cringey & Wrong IMO.

I actually thought he played with a great deal of understated dignity for a period when he first arrived - he kept his head down and sought to avoid confrontation and incident. Then IIRC he appeared to simply stop doing that around the time of Crewe away, and he became what I guess he always was on the pitch, a complete :censored:-bag.

I've had the pleasure (Is that the right word, I think not) of meeting him at a number of the pubs around Saddleworth, particually the Diggle Hotel and TBH the bloke is a brain dead idiot. It surprises me not in the slightest that he's gone & got himself involved in an unsavoury incident again - he can't help himself; he's a thick-as-pig-:censored: cretin & I'm sooooooooooooo glad he is no longer tarnishing our club.

He was involved in a hit and run and therefore must be guilty of a sexual offence.

Innocent until proven guilty, all.

Not sure if you're reply ing to my post directly or it's just yours is the one that follows mine??

I never once said it was a closed case; I said I'm not surprised he's got himself involved in an unsavoury incident again - which I'm not.

Even if he hasn't done anything to the lady in question, he's a fool for letting himself be in a position where this allegation could be made. If he was a professional; he's have stayed clear. He didn't; becuase he can't help himself - he's just that big of a tool.

Innocent or guilty in this case or not; he is still a horrible human being; a true waste of oxygen if ever there was one.

I just happened to post after you!

There have been numerous instances of players being accused of sexual misdemeanours and it then transpiring that it was utter bollocks.

I'm sure Paul Dickov would say the same.

Innocent until charged and proven guilty re the incident being recently reported in my opinion, but as was stated above, there are plenty of other proven incidents that would more than warrant anyone to hold the opinion that he is a <insert favourite degrading expletive of choice here>

Bold bit. What he did will likey haunt him for the rest of his life if he has any heart, which is hard enough for anyone, without recieving the abuse he did. He most likely got :censored: loads of abuse in prison aswell. I guess at that point, it became to much to keep it down. He is only human after all.

Back to original topic about this latest indicdent, innocent until proven guilty. PD can back that up on what Hughes has been arrested on suspicion off. If he is guilty and is proven so, then he'll be looking at a longer sentence due to his track record.
