Sam779
Hi Oldham fans, I'm very much looking forward to this Saturday for personal reasons and it'd appear we're set to bring almost 4,000 fans over for the match. The weather is looking rough at the moment, nothing less than what can be expected at the third highest ground in the UK though I'm sure. Have you got undersoil heating or covers for the pitch? Congratulations on going through last night, you must be confident of beating Chesterfield in the area final. Good luck at winning your FA Cup replay too, must be a fantastic feeling knowing you have a real opportunity at going to Anfield.
palmer1
undersoil heating? what do you think this is 2011 the pitch is in good condition and top drainage so it should stand up to the weather should be a good atmosphere with your lot and hopefully a good game pretty confident that we can take something from you and then a win a gainst Southend should make it a good week how are you finding Megsons brand of football by the way? hasnt seemed to suit most fans when he has been at their club
beag_teeets
I thought we were the 2nd highest ground after West Brom? Who's knocked us down to third? My best mate is a Wendy so I hope we nick the 3 points.

Tell me you at least have a big cover!! We should provide a good atmosphere, we usually do and our fans are obviously particularly up for it with our recent run of good form. Megson's brand of football hasn't been too bad in all honesty, we seem to be quite physical whilst still having the ability to get the ball down and play it about. Megson is doing us proud at the moment, expect to see a few hundred fans sporting Megson masks in the crowd. I thought we were the 2nd highest ground after West Brom? Who's knocked us down to third? This board is usually the place for those! The pitch will be fine, the stands will be cold though, wrap up warm then put another layer on! For the rest of the travelling owls, yes it is a :censored: ground that is sparsely populated, you will have more fans than us, our ground is too small for you and we are supposed to be at home, that's your songbook written for you. I'm hoping for a belting game, we've got players out through suspension and injury, some of the players and even fans will have more than one eye on the game next Tuesday which means more financial too us when we replay against Southend ahead of a possible money-spinning tie at Anfield. oafc-latics
the atmosphere is always better with a big away following, against bradford was the best in a while. as long as we don't get outnumbered and we play like we're up for it, i dont mind the outcome. i'd rather have an anfield trip than burn out energy in this one though. Ha, as football fans we all think we know it all - it's not about knowing everything, it's about convincing everyone you're right. Most of us would've been to Oldham before, I've certainly been many times. You're right, we'll probably sing "You're supposed to be at home" and "I've got a shed as big as this" but most of us are quite humble. Sure it'll be a great game, last season's match at your place didn't disappoint if I recall correctly. the atmosphere is always better with a big away following, against bradford was the best in a while. as long as we don't get outnumbered and we play like we're up for it, i dont mind the outcome. i'd rather have an anfield trip than burn out energy in this one though. opinions4u
Vale Park is measured at different heights on various different web sites. Some put it above BP, others below. BP is colder!

I hope PD will be on at the lads to focus on this game; just as much as last night & of Tuesday's big replay; as even though Sheff Weds are well up at the top of the league; I think it's a winnable game for us. Granted we have Clarke & Wes (big miss) out; but Diamond & Furman will come in for like-for-like. As a Cat A game; I'm chuffed to bits that the Wendy's are set to bring 4,000. Great earner for the club; but the downside being we'll be outnumbered for a home game; which is never nice to see. Now - what price of a Kuqi winner Vs one of his previous clubs??? Shamrock Rovers' fans were in Kazan, Tatarstan, 700 miles east of Moscow last week, but they said they've been colder at Boundary Park

It's easy to be nice on the build up to match, it's afterwards where the gloves come off. Besides, I have the joy of running off to hide if/when you beat us. As for articulate...you should see my handwriting It certainly is a winnable game for you and one which would leave you near to the play offs, this must be your aim for the season? We're extremely inconsistent away from home and always likely to concede, it's definitely a case of us having to outscore you as opposed to sneaking a goal and shutting up shop. Could be a high-scoring game; let's hope so and of course that it's an entertaining one. £23 is a bit steep for League One to be honest, Walsall on Boxing day is £18.50 and Preston on New Years Eve is a very reasonably priced £17. It'd appear my original figure of 4,000 might be incorrect, our official sales this morning appear to be around 3,500 so might not be too far off come matchday. Oh and by the way, Kuqi is nailed on to score at some point. Perhaps put a couple of quid on someone who hasn't scored for you in years or ever...it's the Wednesday way! Gaz_Oafc
Got a feeling we're in for a beating, i think a lot of focus will have been put on last night and the southend game (and with the potential income for both then it absoloutly should be that way!) Can a squad like ours realistically compete in 3 huge games in a week? That said, we're unbeaten in 6 and Dickov will be doing his upmost to get a result out of the game, and i dont think we'll roll over! I'd agree with this but you'll pay more at that other stadium in Sheffield, plus Hartlepool (unless your a student or over 60 but under 65), Hudds will charge you more (probably) and lots of places in London. I've no idea what you will charge us but it could be more than £23.

Shows how pricing policies vary though.
bossrocks
Given that Weds are 2nd a draw would be a good result but its certainly winnable. A draw and then a win on Tuesday would be fantastic. Two wins would be Christmas come early
JonesyOAFC
I always enjoy playing Wednesday, one of the best away supports in my time going to BP, and a friendly bunch of fans in my experiences as well (I wasn't around for a few 'incidents' in the 80's). Much better than those utter cretins from the same city anyway...

I think we have got the squad to be able to compete with 3 huge games in a week. Last night we had Diamond, Furman and Taylor out, 2 of them arguably in our top 3/4 best players, and the replacements we had for them in Clarke, Adeyemi and Parker did fine. Add to that we have the likes of Morais on the bench along with youngsters who have shown they can hold their own at this level in Winchhester, Mellor, Tarky, Bembo and Smith. Reid's due to return soon as well also.

You're quite correct, the horrible little piggies across the city charged us £28!! Roger Ritchie
That says an awful lot about you I used to live with a Wednesday fan and I used to get told all the time what a massive club they were. This was when they were in the same league as us at the time. So my preference for United is 100% down to spite.
