Huddersfield Town, Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield, HD1 6PX.

The ground has won many design awards but its open corners make it chilly for streakers.

Away fans are located at one end of the ground in the Pink Link (South) Stand, where up to 4,000 supporters can be accommodated. The facilities in this stand and the view of the playing action are both good. There is also a Ladbroke's outlet and a bar serving alcohol at the back of the stand.

How to get there:

By road:

The stadium is generally well-signposted around Huddersfield town centre.

From Oldham:

The stadium is just off the A62 Leeds Road. It can be reached easiest from Junction 25 of the M62. Simply follow the signs for Huddersfield (A62) and you will come to the stadium on your left.

From the South:

Leave the M1 at Junction 38 and take the A637 towards and then the A642 into Huddersfield. As you approach the town centre try to keep to the right hand lane as you will turn right at the island and go onto the A62 Leeds Road. The stadium is a short distance down this road on the right. For the car parks turn right at the traffic lights, where the Market Pub is on the corner.

Car Parking:

There is a fair sized car park located at the stadium and a number of unofficial car parks nearby. Early arrivals may find some street parking.

By bus:

Arriva Buses 202/3 run every 15 minutes down to the Stadium, with a typical journey time of 10 minutes. Get off just before Ricky's pub on the left, and the stadium is just round the corner.

By train:

After coming out of the Rail Station, turn down past the front of The George Hotel. Go straight over the crossroads into Northumberland Street and walk down across the Ring Road straight on into Leeds Road. Turn right down Gasworks Street. Straight over crossroads to the stadium.

Where to drink:

The stadium is about a twenty minutes walk from the town centre where there are plenty of pubs and food outlets.

The Bradley Mills Working Men’s Club and Ricky’s Bar are located on Leeds Road, about five-ten minutes walk from the Stadium, but may not welcome away fans wearing colurs.

There is also a cinema and entertainment complex behind the North Stand, where there is the Rope Walk pub.

The Gas Club on Gasworks Street welcomes all fans and families. Reasonably-priced beers and lagers, food available and you can also park in the patrolled Club car park. The Club is easy to find as it is right by the large gas holder.

If arriving by train, the Head of Steam pub at the rail station is said to be pretty good and serves food too.

Otherwise it is probably best to drink within the stadium itself, as there are open bars at the back of the away end.

If you leave the M62 at Junction 25 you will have driven past 2 junctions which take you into Huddersfield, whilst it might be the easiest way to get to the stadium (since you don't have to go through the city centre) I'm not sure its the best way to get to the ground from Oldham and the motorway signs from Oldham tell you to get off at J24, I personally prefer to get off at J23 as the road from J23 to the centre is a better road- its signed from the roundabout at Junction 23.

I would also very very very highly recommend Argento's restaurant "opposite" the station, its a Argentinian steak place where the food is better than one meal I had at Gaucho's in Manchester (I've had better food at Gaucho's) but about 1/3 of the price. Its the best value meal I've had in the UK and is close to being the best value meal I've had.
