Bunty Blue
Me and my lad are driving over from Leeds. Probably try to set off around 4:30 to get a parking spot. Then have to put up with 17 yr old saying he's bored! Parking near Goodison and taking my chances crossing Stanley Park!

Fyldelatic
Setting off from Greater Manchester around 4 and hope to be near Anfield by 6, going via M61, M6 and M58 to avoid M62 roadworks. As for parking, the situation seems to be to avoid street parking - most surrounding areas are resident parking only or one-hour limit, and there's always a chance of vandalism and theft. There are several schools and other private parking from around £7, but you are likely to get stuck leaving after the match, esp anywhere near the stadium. What I've done is to book a space in someone's drive around 15 min from stadium for £10 from http://www.parkatmyhouse.com/uk Edited January 4, 2012 by Fyldelatic

Looks like you'll be on the train back with the rest of us.

Looks like you'll be on the train back with the rest of us. Seems legit. It's on a row of private detached/semi-detached houses off Lower Breck Road. The owner has about 30 reviews from 2011, all positive. Remember no private parking will give you insurance against damage or theft - you always park at your own risk. Tommy_Fent
I parked near Goodison Park when I went to watch England at Anfield in 2006. We didn't cross Stanley Park we walked around on the road.
