laticsrblue
Where were Latics when these seats were on offer. Could have put them in the mainstand and charged a premium. Might have stopped some of the moaning if the occupiers dozed off. http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-features/8/news-headlines/66629/standing-room-only-at-coliseum And why is the Coliseum replacing them with seats costing £250 when the old ones are good enough for all those other places? Crusoe
Because they'd be slashed to ribbons in seconds? Because they would involve replacing the existing seats (at a cost) for something that would be destroyed in about one game? Because the minute the club tried charging a penny more all of the moaners would be out of the woodwork complaining about price hikes? Belive me when I say that the current leg room in the main stand is much more than some of the seats in the colly! Replacement of the seats in the theatre is to change the layout slightly thus giving more leg room. Also hoping to give flexibility to change the layout if needed. The old seats that have been donated elsewhere are a nightmare to maintain and where butchered on removal. Over a thousand wriggly kids per day on panto takes its toll over the course of approx 30 years. Keeping that champagne on ice!

Moaners they may be but vandals, never.
Crusoe
There's always a handful that spoil it. I agree that the vast majority wouldn't be that bad.
24hoursfromtulsehill
That's a decent idea for a promotional campaign. At the Zodiac club in Oxford, dancer of the week (or whatever) gets to use the sofa on the stage the week after. You sit on the sofa with your mates and they bring you drinks and such. They could set up a similar area on the Lees Stand Paddock, where they bring you and your mates pies and Bovril. This is by no means the most terrible vicarious income generation scheme I've thought of, but it's up there.
