LaticsPete
Good luck to him. I wish him well. His signing for us lifted nearly everyone, he scored more goals than anyone else.
oafc1955
I reckon if he'd had a good second half of the season we'd have resigned him....it was nothing to do with money....he really was dire after Christmas and he simply wasn't worth a contract. jimsleftfoot
I reckon if he'd had a good second half of the season we'd have resigned him....it was nothing to do with money....he really was dire after Christmas and he simply wasn't worth a contract. If he had a strong second half of the season, I reckon he would have been playing for a Championship club or strong L1 club.
oafc1955
To be honest he could have gone to a championship club before he signed for Latics
jsslatic
Good luck to the bloke, he was a bit off colour second half of the season yet but for his arrival we'd have been 'looking forward' to trips to Burton and Barnet this year.
Hands on
Of course he was off colour for the second half of the season - he was spending so much time helping the mid field and defence. It took Latics until Christmas to coach his scoring ways out of him. By the time he got a chance he was worn out. Had he been left up front I'm sure his run would have continued. One of the best signings in recent years and the management and stupid braying fans has put us where we are now. Lets hope they leave Slew up front and that he can resist the coaches. It is no wonder Smith has not produced the goods.
Hometownclub
He'll score goals up there, the standards so poor there's only one team in the league. Celtic are 1/40 to win the SPL, what a waste of time scottish football is.
bigfatjoe1
i thought he worked his bollocks even when his form disappeared. he tried to lead and drive the team from the front. in the end he was crap but on effort alone i say good luck to him. leeslover
For all the number of times that people say they will take anything so long as they see the players putting everything they have into the game, Kuqi attracted a lot of stick. Good luck to him

Good luck to him Very good point. Everyone seemed to be able to see the problem, and I don;t think I agree with Hands on (he must have had his Hands On eyes !) just kidding. I think it was half a seaon too far, and everyone should have acepted the need for a rest for a few weeks. Good luck Kuqi.
bossrocks
Will always love him for tucking away the injury time penalty at Bramhall Lane and giving me one of the best footballing memories I'll ever have.
Lags
Had he had a second half to the season like the first half, Kuqi would have been the first through PD's door with his pen exercising his option. I think Kuqi fell out with the club when the fans lost faith in him. EDIT: Obviously in my opinion like.... Bristolatic
Good luck, big fella. Thanks for the memories, the 16 goals, the belly flops and just sheer bloody hard work. It was a pity the goals dried up, but that's life. You'll be OK up there without even trying too hard.

opinions4u
Kuqi was managed badly at Latics. In what way? I think he should have been dropped a couple of times. Other times he should have been subbed earlier. Is that the sort of thing you're getting at or is there more to it?
Matt
Nah that's pretty much it, pitch management.

Matt
Damn. I was so hoping for some major gossip from inside the club. Oh well ... Well, I do know he hated smoked haddock - and Billy Quarmby wasn't allowed anywhere near his boots. Or something. There was an internal memo. There was an internal memo. I heard the only game in 2012 that Quarmby didn't clean his boots was after the match before we played at Spotland.
