2011-2012 League Tables - After 20 games

DavidCollinge is still the runaway leader , with Stevie_J leading the chasing pack. Biggest climbers were Lookers_Carl (up 15) , steveoafc and Zorrro (both up 12). The biggest drop was Oldham Sheridan, falling 16 places into the Championship from 5^th place in the Premier League.

 

Those who were on “nil points” and did not contribute in this batch of 10 games (cornishblue, Runningman, alien, laticman, LaticsLen, oldhammad, pogsknee, sadlad) have been removed (I can put them back in if they come up in the next 10). Newcomers are oafcmad09, Monty Burns and spadam.

 

Exeter (a): Out of 40 entries, only 8 scored points. A lot went for a 2-0 Latics win, but only Hometownclub got the 2-0 defeat correct. opinions 4u was 24 away from the 3,753 attendance with 3,777 whilst jorvik_latic missed by 60 with 3,813, mick26 was 98 away with 3,655 and Steveoafc was 64 out with 3,817

MK Dongs (h): mikeboafc and LaticsPete got the 2-1 win correct, but oafcforever went one better by going with Kuqi as first scorer as well. No one got near the poor attendance of 2,402 (it was on Sky and it hissed down with rain), so other points were gathered by going for Kuqi or the correct number of goals by each team, but not full time score.

Bin Dippers (a): Only Oldham Sheridan and oafcprozac went for the Dippers to win, but got the score wrong, Yard Dog was just 3 away from the attendance with 5,120 (actual 5,117), jorvik_latic 4 out with 5,113, steveoafc 52 away with 5,169. I just loved longtimeblue’s attendance prediction of 27, 856. It WAS a typo, wasn’t it?

Wycombe (h): Most went for a Latics win, but pk200, steveoafc, oafcprozac, MaskedOwl, LaticsPete, Yard Dog, orpheo and John Platt were spot on with the 2-0 result. Plenty of points were scored for being within 100 of 3,592attendance, the best one being Hometownclub just 1 off with 3,591 . Of the rest, the best ones were: Ex_pat 3,579 (missed by 13), LaticsPete 3,578 (14 out), stevesidg 3,567 (25 away) and rosa missed out by 30 with 3,622. No prize for this, but orpheo was exactly 100 out with 3,492.

Preston (a): Plenty went for the draw but, unsurprisingly, no one went for the 3-3. Plenty also correctly had Kuqi is first Latics scorer, but no one got near the attendance, so no points picked up for that.

Carlisle (a): Lots went for Kuqi as first scorer, so no surprise there. pk200, steveoafc, Yard Dog, Warwickshire latics, GravityGrave, LaticsPete, Zorrro, orpheo, rudemedic, flashlatic, Ex_pat, rosa and oafcprozac all predicted a draw, but little wonder that there were no 3-3 predictions. Of those that were within 100 of the 4,803 attendance, LaticsPete was just 5 out with 4,798 and mick26 was only 9 out with 4,794. Next best was jorvik_latic, who was 10 out with 4,813.

Bury (h): Of the 35 folk that had a bash at this one, not one went for a Bury win so, apart from the odd prediction that Bury would score 2, it was the 100 within attendance that scored a few points. Closest to the 5,149 were these three. Lookers_Carl with 5,210. Hometownclub 5,059. Monty Burns 5,246.

Shezterfield (h): The vast majority went for a Latics win, but no one got the 5-2 result. Closest was flashlatic, who went for 4-2. Unsurprisingly, no one had Kieran Lee as first Latics scorer and GravityGrave was the only one to pick up 3 points for his attendance figure of 3,787 (actual 3,699).

Bournemuff (a): Lots of predictions for a draw, but none for the 0-0. Nine of you were within 100 of the 5,478 attendance. Opinions4u & DavidCollinge both 5,555 (They’ve been peeking over each other’s shoulder). steveoafc 5,387. GravityGrave 5,512. rudemedic 5,497. RobOAFC 5,431. boboafc 5,469. Stevie_J 5,433. Ex_pat 5,500.

The Wendies: jorvik_latic just about hit the jackpot, correctly predicting a 2-0 defeat and only being 47 out on the attendance with 7,013 (actual 7,060). DavidCollinge also got the 0-2. Next closest was oafckev with 0-3. No others got near the attendance.
