billytrip
What a guy our Simon is.He`s stuck with us through thick and thicker and no one would have blamed him if he`d have jumped ship but instead he`s been losing brass for years and was still prepared to back the manager yesterday.Every interview I hear from Mr Corney impresses me with his honesty and straight talking and i`m chuffed to bits that our success in the cup and the tv money that goes with it takes a bit of pressure of a guy that obviously has Latics blood running through his veins.Well done Simon. Traffordtic
I agree with the fact that we'd be screwed without him but are ŵe screwed with him? Sometimes the norm becomes reality and what could become a better reality is dependant on having the balls to screw the norm! just a thought!! I do actually like the guy but I like a lot of people but that is insignificant in respect of OAFC!

I like this one, gives me the chance to ask the question......how much has he personally lost ( rough estimate) and before you answer, are you sure? Traffordtic
And another one. Nearly there, do you need some help with the structure of your opinion?
sbs1trg
I started reading this thread and assumed it was going to be a sarcasm-laden swipe at SC - glad I continued reading! A good post I really don't get the negativity from others around his involvement at the club. He could have cut his losses years ago and those would have been the actions of a rational businessman - the fact that he has stayed and continue to cover our losses year after year (though perhaps this season might be an exception now) makes me think he does care...and perhaps more than a little. There IS going to be no big pay out for him or TTA when he finally says "enough" and I genuinely worry about who can take the club on at that point, particularly if we are still at a three sided BP when that point comes.
