BP1960
Liam Watson in the betting at 17/1 with BetVictor, any reason for such a short price for a virtual unknown ? (He's just dropped to 16/1 as I type). Edited February 6, 2013 by BP1960

No, but he has worked miracles with a part time team in the conference and I wouldn't mind if he brought flying winger Sean Whalley with him to BP. Sean Whalley would never make it in League 1, not a chance. Watched him at Droylsden and he was a class above that league but as a 25 year old he's not cut out for this standard. BP1960
Watson suffered his first relegation as a manager in the 2010/11 season, as Southport finished 21st in the Conference Premier saved by Rushdens demise. Watson managing the team to a record breaking 8 away wins, culminating in a 1-0 win against Stockport County at Edgeley Park on 26 November 2011. "However against all odds Watson kept Southport up" Perhaps he could do the same with the Latics. Edited February 6, 2013 by BP1960

They said that about David Eyres when he was 27 years old at Rhyl, they also said David Mellor was a £300,000 player last year....you just never know in this game. Ackey
Some people still don't seem to get this - on a small market such as ours the betting is all but meaningless - if you call up and ask to stick £20 on someone they will let you. When you do that it's likely they will then stick them on their online list in case anyone else fancies a dabble. There's no system here - Sky Bet are not out sniffing around agents trying to find out who it is, they don't give a :censored: really as they know they will lose money on the winner but make more money on everyone else. Equally if ten people on here were all willing to back someone on the list for a fiver that person's odds would rocket to favourite within 15 minutes. Basically - it's all a load of :censored:. Correct. I once called up to put a tenner on Sheridan (several years before he became our manager) getting the gig at Wednesday. He wasn't in the betting - I got 50s and he was immediately introduced into the list at 10s
