greengrass
Anyone from down south going? I've just moved to Southampton and planning on getting the train up probably on my own, just wondering if anyone else is making the journey!
opinions4u
Please book any train travel ia PlayerShare WebShop - then a small chunk of your fare gets back to Latics. http://www.spendandraise.com/xtra/shop/retailers/?search=Virgin+trains&order=alpha&page=A
tony4938
I live just outside Swindon in Lyneham, so will definitely be going to this and Shrewsbury.
leeslover
It's possible I have a lift down there, otherwise the trains are already pricey so if it comes to that I won't be doing it
24hoursfromtulsehill
I'm definitely going from London if anyone's interested - and definitely getting the train. Probably aim to get the train from Paddington at 11-ish.

James (as in Leila's James) might be driving with a random Swindon fan friend, would be room for one if so
24hoursfromtulsehill
I'll see nearer the time. I'd be car sick if I had to sit in the back.
rudemedic
I think the trains from London might be problematic due to works at Reading.

24hoursfromtulsehill
Aren't these ones usually 4 for 2? Yes they are - and you can normally sit in first class on the way back singing songs.
greengrass
So what route will all you london lot be taking?
24hoursfromtulsehill
Paddington to Swindon is the traditional route from...Paddington to Swindon. I normally stop by M&S for four tins of quality Belgian Lager on the way.
greengrass
Think I'll be going Southampton to Bath Spa then on to Swindon, looks like I'll be on my own then!

leeslover
Paddington to Swindon is the traditional route from...Paddington to Swindon. I normally stop by M&S for four tins of quality Belgian Lager on the way. Think it was Swindon I went first class from Waterloo for the same price as steerage from Paddington. Took 50 minutes more but it was all time to drink green lager in a relaxing environment

Ackey
Define, "plenty," and quantify, "luxury." The difference between a plebs table and a first class table is worth :censored: if it adds an hour!
Zorrro
I would go, but it'd mean going to Swindon.
JoshOWTB
Geez this is a bit in advanced for OASIS isn't it? I should be there, unless I've double booked myself. Will be travelling from Paddington. London Paddington to Bristol, Cardiff and Swansea: An hourly train service will run, with trains being diverted between London Paddington & Swindon and not stopping at Reading or Didcot Parkway

The 2 hours is from Paddington, don't think you can go direct from Waterloo.
