Dear all. Please find below brief notes on the Player share committee meeting at the White hart on 09.05.13

Apologies: Ian McCallister, Will Holding, Rick Attwood and MIck Nuttall

In Attendance: Barry Owen, Janet Winterbottom, Craig Lavis, Chrill Hill, Peter Newell and arriving late Tracy Wright

Finances: Barry advised us in Mike's and Rick's absence that we currently have aprox £8,500.00 in teh player share account and thanks our donators. Also that Mike maybe taking a break with regards to finances for player share and the Trust.

Update from the club: Barry advised us that our new manager is aware of Player share and its mission and is keen on the scheme. Barry is hoping to get Mr Johnson to attend the next committee meeting. The clubs standing is still the same that they support Player share

Changes to Playershare: Barry advised that the trust rules are changing with regards to membership fees. The trust is going to try and contact all fans asking them for contact details and if they would like to join the trust and make a donation rather than a membership fee

What's coming up?: Chris briefed us of the player share pool tournament. We are unsure if the Junction is now taking part so we have six possibles. White hart pub poss on 16.06.13, Church Inn, Waterhead date TBA, Gardners Rest, Hollins Rd date TBA, Marstons Tavern Royton, date TBA, Haggate Royton, date poss 23.06.13 and Primrose View, date TBA. These pubs are subject to change and dates too. Set up for the event are: Sundays 6-9ish at each venue. entry fee is £10.00 per person, min 8 players per pub. Then knock out rounds, 45% of monies will go to player share, 30% to the eventual winner, 15% to the runner up and 10% to the "king of losers". Tracy Wrigh has volunteered to help put on the nights

Future promotions. Any event to raise money and awareness needs committee approval. With wording on posters such as sanction by............as the committee do not want fraudsters out there promoting raising money for trust events etc.

More work needs to happen aroung the good work that "opinions for you" spend and share website is rasing. We need to get this promoted more, articles in the programme, posters around the ground, poss getting it up on the official site too. We need to approach Opinions with regards to what support he would like.

Re previous article with regards to changes to trust membership. Tracy Wright is asking if it is possible to capture email addresses and as long as we are not breaking Data protection act, to be allowed to contact trust members to promote playershare scheme itself or spend and raise promotions and newsletters/updates of what we have done/planning to do

Next season's ticket collections : Suggestion that we look at creating a small card to promote player share scheme and with Opinions approval, spend and raise. This can then be given out when season tickets are collected, or tickets bought for home/away games. Tracy Wrigh to work with Rick Attwood on design and approval from opinions too.

Look at creating new posters/flyers with Lee Johnson on them (with his permission) to promote playershare more

Possible suggestion for a "meet the manager" style fund raiser for player share poss October time at maybe Milan Bar, The Village, Talking point. Or alternative evening with........a possible legend.

Next committee meeting: TBA

Thanks
