Korey smith is our best captain since Sean gregan and if he carries on this form I would put him right alongside lee duxbury I just want him to add goals to his game he's got it in him to do that.

 

For me tarky just edges him the way he's played this season has at times been superb and the way we carries the ball out of defence reminds me of richard Jobson and he commands defensively aswell he gets his clearances.

 

These two for me would be at the front of any player of the season votes if they were to be cast now hopefully they will keep their form up throughout the season.

There are a good few who have made themselves certain starters when fit.

 

Not like previous seasons where players still played regardless of form - these ones have done that by their consistent levels of performances.

 

Tarky, Grounds, Wes, Smith, Dayton, Philliskirk and latterly, JCH have all earned starting spots and kept them on merit.

We need to build the side around that core.

l would add Kasunga to that list as he gets better every game, we dont concede many when he plays, prefer him at centre back,

The only iffy areas at the minute for finding proven/best starters are probably the left wing (Montano/Schmeltz/Petrasso) and maybe right-back (Lanzoni/Brown), every where else is fine isnt it? Ox, Tarky, Kusunga, Grounds, Dayton, Smith, Wes, JCH, Philly.
