c.hill12 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 But with who? Just seen a headline on the sky sports news app that donny haven't received an official approach but doesn't say who from. Quote
c.hill12 Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Just seen the full article. Sheff wed apparently. Quote
bigfatjoe1 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Strange. Also Rossler is on his way to Wigan which is not so strange. Quote
c.hill12 Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 does anybody care what he does?Wouldn't say i 'cared' was more curious as to how he is being linked with other clubs. Although the local donny paper does seem impressed how he has 'steered' them to 15th in the league. Quote
deyres42 Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Doing a perfectly good job at Doncaster (must be the Brian Horton effect!), Mandaric maybe thinking taking him weakens Donny as relegation rivals, will be cheap so no great initial outlay and easy enough to get rid of if it doesn't work out. Quote
maddog Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 does anybody care what he does? Nope - it seems people will employ him regardless of what he does! Quote
Mullet Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 does anybody care what he does? We've got a 19 page thread about ex-players. Why shouldn't we be bothered? You're lying if you wasn't interested slightly by it. Quote

Mullet Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I was intrigued as to why its on OWTB, but not that he's been linked with a job. Why would I be? He was our last manager therefore it's interesting to see his progression within the game. Considering you've posted three times on the 'Ex Players and that' thread you obviously do have an interest in our past employees. Quote
Break The Silence Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I'm still absolutely mystified as to how he blagged the Doncaster job, bearing in mind the utter :censored: up he made of things at BP. Quote

Just because I have no interest in Dickov's life doesn't mean I have no interest in ex-players, uno ones that didn't cause us to go on a massive losing streak and then completely slag us off. Do you remember that? Quote
Guest Scratch2000uk Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 So you can polish a turd. Nope, but you can roll it in glitter Quote
PlayItLivo Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I'd have kept Dave Jones over "unearthed a gem" Dickov. Quote

iamjonesyyoafc Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 So you open and read a thread, then complain about said thread... Why open it? Why read it? And why complain? Open: curiosity, I always open OWTB threads. Read: what would be the point in opening if I didn't read? Complain: because I can, and that is that. Quote
LaticsPete Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Sorry, but I still don't get this barely suppressed vitriol against Dickov. He was found wanting but did he deliberately do anything that hurt the club? No If he's a success elsewhere then good luck to him. Quote

He was found wanting but did he deliberately do anything that hurt the club? No If he's a success elsewhere then good luck to him. No vitriol from me personally. Solely from a footballing point of view, I can't believe how he got/is getting a look in at other clubs. He actually went up in my estimations after seeing him celebrate in the gantry v Everton. GlossopLatic Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 I think ex players who had good playing reputations will tend to get more favourable preferences when it comes to management Paul ince is probably another good example. I also don't remember Paul Dickov slagging us off at all and saw a few interviews post his resignation and there was no resentment directed at us. Quote

I just want my theory that he's a :censored: manager given further credence. Quote
yarddogs Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Dickov didn't do a bad job nor a great job but the way he celebrated Matt smiths equalizer against Everton after leaving us means I just can't dislike the guy Quote
SavageTheBeast Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Jonesy people still talk of sheridans management spell here. Why should Dickov be anything different. Stop trying to embarrass and get one over on people Edited December 7, 2013 by SavageTheBeast Quote
