Pure Elvis 1977 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Without Suarez, who will actually score ? Sturridge injured ... Gerrard injured... Both might not be fit ... Henderson doesn't fill me with dread ... Aspas do me a favour... Sterling ... No end product... Alberto ....Nope Moses ... Possibly ... How about putting Mellor on Suarez man to man . Paisley put a young Sammy lee on Paul breitner in 81 euro cup semi and it worked a treat . Nobody seems to play man to man anymore but reducing the threat of Suarez with reduce liverpools threat considerably . Quote
davegtt Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 How about let Suarez go about his stuff and let him score, we concentrate on scoring more than them - worked last year ;) Quote
leeslover Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Suarez will be screwed without Cliff to play a one-two with. Quote
grahamb Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Lanzoni is the man for man marking or Belezika ............................... (awaits torrent of abuse) Quote
GravityGrave Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 If we have someone man marking Suarez we might as well play with ten men. His movement is that good the best defenders in the world would be dragged all over the place and exposed by him . Let's stick to our plan like we did this year and have a go at them . Quote
MaskedOwl Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Liverpool will play a full strength team barring injuries. they won't make the same mistake as last season and will probably put at least 5 past us. still guna be a great day though Quote
deyres42 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Probably best to just enjoy the day rather than worrying about tactics too much - unless we sign a 6ft 6 centre forward in the meantime of course. Quote
leeslover Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 It would have been ideal if we had a Spanish speaker to make lewd comments about his sister, but it would be a touch too far i light of recent allegations Quote
Latics_Fanatic Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 We're gonna win. Let's have some optimism! Quote
TheBigDog Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 We're gonna win. Let's have some optimism! No we're not.... Quote
Monty Burns Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Henderson is growing into the club. Sterling, Aspas well better than us wake up. We will win tho, no point even living without hope. Quote
oafcmetty Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 2 of the 3 games they play before us are City and Chelsea away. We'll smash em. Quote
Monty Burns Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 2 of the 3 games they play before us are City and Chelsea away. We'll smash em. Followed by a tricky away game at stoke... Quote
Dave_Og Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Liverpool will play a full strength team barring injuries. Will they? Last year this compettition was their best chance of success. Not the case this year if wee accepot that finishing in the top 4 is the primary target Quote
bigfatjoe1 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I think we should start spreading as many rumours as possible that he's on his way to Real Madrid. Not that it'll make any difference. They won't make the same mistake as February. They need silverware and a top four finish. They'll want a little bit of revenge. Quote
Lags Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 tarky will have Suarez in his jock strap. Teeth firmly kept out of harms way. Smith will sort midfield (shame for Wes) Danny will send the tie into extra time 1-1 and the unlikely hero will be Mills heading home with 3 mins to go. Nailed on, Montano told me. Quote
NewBlue Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 'They're nothing without Gerrard and Sturridge' *Conveniently forgets 5-0 away drubbing of Spurs without both players* Still, we're gonna win! Quote

Bellamy caused most of the problems in the 5-1 defeat, at least he won't be playing this time. Quote

My dream had Danny scoring in the last minute to make it 1-0 for the Latics - just as the SC was rubbing his hands at the thought of a replay. Quote

Back on topic, more concerned about what Coutinho will do to us than Suarez. Quote

You do realise that Suarez scores a goal every 10 minutes and Coutinho doesn't right ;) If I had a choice I know whos leg I would break before January Quote
GlossopLatic Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 This will be new and enhanced tarkys biggest challenge as Suarez can claim to be the best striker in the world on current form. Quote
SavageTheBeast Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Don't think Suarez will play they have a big December January ahead playing title contenders. Probably that aspas up front Quote
slystallone Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I think he'll be on the bench to bring on if needed. Would have thought one of Aspas or Alberto will be up front? Anyhow - all about enjoying the day and whatever happens happens eh? Quote
