RoyleArmy1994 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Given Matt Chamber's tweet about Weslo, philli and McDonald being possibly fit, what is your starting 11 and prediction. For me: Oxley Brown, Kusunga, Tarkowski, Grounds Petrasso, Weslo, Smith, Dayton JCH, Philliskirk Rachkubka, Rooney, Schmeltz, Mellor, Rodgers, Winchester, McDonald Prediction: 2-1 Latics ;) Edited January 1, 2014 by RoyleArmy1994 Quote
BP1960 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Looking at today Tarkowski, Kusunga and Clarke- Harris won't be fit. Edited January 1, 2014 by BP1960 Quote
beag_teeets Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 No idea about the team but we will lose by 5 or 6 goals. And I'm an optimist & happy clapper. Quote

beag_teeets Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 You said that 2 years ago. I was nearly right then with the 5-1. I'm not so sure we'll get the 1 this time. Quote
OAFC_Ryan Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Play the youth team, teach them a lesson. Back to back home defeats against two piss poor sides, not good enough. Quote
Gaz_Oafc Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Rachubka Kusanga tarkowski grounds mellor Wes Smith Petrasso philliskirk schmeltz JCH Prediction: Suarez 367 - 0 Oldham Quote
NewBlue Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Play the youth team, teach them a lesson. Back to back home defeats against two piss poor sides, not good enough. Good idea, we ruin their careers by letting them lose by more than 10 goals in front of 45,000 people. That'll do their confidence lots of good... Quote
keep_the_faith Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Wouldn't play Petrasso. Doesn't strike me as a big game player I think he'd just let the occasion get to him and the game would pass him by. Love to be quoted on this Sunday pm after him hitting a brace Quote
Buckshawlatic Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 My prediction is a complete mullering Quote

That'll do their confidence lots of good... History tells us only 4 or 5 of them will ever feature in the first team and only 1 or 2 of them will be any good. No. They're all at better clubs than us. Quote

But they weren't in the yoofs when we lost at Liverpool. They were all regular first teamers. Quote

Anyway, a competitive 5-1 defeat is a lot different to a 11-0/12-0 that it would undoubtedly be with kids playing for us. Put out a bunch of kids we get beaten 10+ -0. Fans won't be happy, player's confidence killed, everyone embarrassed all-round. To even consider putting anything other than a full team out is madness. We may not win this, but I want us to make a fight of it at least. Not to worry, LJ will put out his strongest team and we'll have Philliskirk, MacDonald and possibly Wes back. We'll lose by 6 perhaps, but I'd rather that than utter humiliation. Edited January 1, 2014 by NewBlue Quote

You really think the first-team deserve a reward by playing at one of the greatest venues in world football? They are gutless. EDIT: You know I don't mean any of the stuff I'm saying, I'm just annoyed and better off ignored! Edited January 1, 2014 by OAFC_Ryan Quote
100milesaway Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I predict that this week we will apply for special dispensation to play 2 keepers. Quote

Obviously I'd love to get something but I'll take 6-0 now for a win against Stevenage. Quote
BP1960 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 No matter what we say the manager will play the most experienced players at Liverpool, even if some of them aren't worth a place. Quote
underdog Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 If we don't get a hammering then mr Rogers is a crap manager, it's not as if he's been watching us enough to know our plan a, b, c......z or torture his son enough to find out more. Didn't expect us to win anyway with the current squad of injuries, square pegs round holes etc.....but I expect a shift to be put in. Their defence does looks a bit suss, their left back especially if we can get a winger down there and if someone can get in skirtle's shirt pulling face then we could be on for a goal. Would love goal.....that's all, a goal at anfield and for us not to be disgraced.....oh god....I need more beer. Prediction...... The pool 4 - latics(if we show up) 1..... But could go into double figures.....there said it ouch Quote
Nohairdontcare Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 It's so utterly unlikely that we will get anything other than a beating at Anfield, so incompressible that we could stuff them two years running... that I'm going to back us for our most incredible win. I'll also buy a lottery ticket. If I win more than a million quid I vow to pay £10,000 to playershare (plus settle up for the £5 I owe for Rooney's last goal). Quote
Diego_Sideburns Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Brendan Rodgers said Suarez played today in spite of having an injury from the previous match. I predict he'll be on the bench on Sunday. Quote

I also predict Tarkowski (assuming not sold) and Clarke- Harris in spite of having injuries from the previous match will start. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose. Quote
