Gaz_Oafc
Interview with John Stead, quick summary: * wanted to return to Huddersfield and fire on all cylinders but that's not been the case. Only started 6 games which he doesn't believe is enough for a striker to get into form * Loan to Oldham is the right thing to show that long term, he can get back into form and perform for Huddersfield. * he's come to us at a good time, everyone at the club is on the front foot looking to kick on. Nobody is looking over their shoulder and everything at the club is positive. He's quite excited about his spell here. *LJ wants him to come in and score goals and help out the young lads as thats what thw team is lacking. We've been playing good football but not got the results we may have deserved. * wants to score against bristol city but wont celebrate. * is putting pressure on himself cos he expects to do well in league 1 having played predominanly at a higher level. Is confident he will do cos LJ and the squad have confidence in him and have welcomed him into the squad.
Flemboy
Stead showed at Swindon in the short time he was on that he has the talent we need in the box.
blueatheart
Sounds to me like he wants an extended stay, possibly past the end of the season.

sjk2008
Sounds to me like he wants an extended stay, possibly past the end of the season. Considering he said he's hoping long term and he can produce the form here to get back into the Huddersfield team......how do you work that one out? LaticsPete
Considering he said he's hoping long term and he can produce the form here to get back into the Huddersfield team......how do you work that one out? I got the same impression - that he sees a loan as a stepping stone back into Huddersfield plans
4froale
he'd have to do well here to have a chance back at them, they have Vaughan, wells and Paterson above him in the pecking order and possibly Joe Lolley depending on how he does, I could see him leaving in the summer. simplythemostimportantkick
I think at most he will be to end of season, he must be on a wedge, surely out of our price range ?
