As the build of our new stand has gone on for 18 months+ I think its fair to put it into context.

The KC Stadium in Hull with a 25,586 capacity complete with a 1,500 seat sports arena, 2 multi purpose sports pitches, community learning zone including classrooms, health and fitness suite and cyber cafe was completed in 14 months from scratch.

And it was fully funded from the start from money from the sale of Kingston on Hull phone system. A new build on a uninhibited site.

That's the context - completely different from Latics.

Our funding is in place or so we are told time and again, not once has a club representative used funding as an issue for the delays. Be happy to be proved wrong.

Big difference between having it all up front and having it sorted but coming in at various stages

When did the £5 parking charge come into force for disabled parking at the ground yet another hit at the disabled first the ticket prices now parking what a great club. All the other clubs allow free disabled parking with the exception of Tranmere that we have been to.

Jesus wept. The disabled spaces are closer to the entrance for the convenience of those who are disabled. Why should you get it for free as well? Everyone else has to pay.

Concessions are normally given to disabled supporters because in some cases its the carer driving them too and from matches, they are not always a fans and are just accompanying a disabled fan, secondly disabled fans may not work so charging them the £5 parking fee is a little harsh, provisions for free parking and entry for carers at games are the norm now, its only OAFC who are moving back in time.

One for the Trust to have a look at.

Jesus wept.

When you see a granny hobbling down the road with a stick, do you kick the stick out from under her?

Not saying should not pay just would have been nice to be told and ask the question why the change?...Just for your information oafc lover when you are disabled you have a lot more expense in general and the extra we will have to pay now will push some people not being able to attend as for a lot of us it is the spare money we have to follow oldham this and the ticket increase we have not been able to budget for as we have not been informed in advance....

My point isn't specifically that disabled people should pay. It is that the club aren't obliged to offer free parking for the disabled. The whole concept of disabled parking is that it is closer to the building, not that is free.

I understand disabled have to pay out for things but they also get a lot heavily discounted or even free. If we got into that debate we would end up with all sorts of excuses as to why people should have free parking.

Don't how many people are affected but it can't be that many, an unnecessary charge and one that they should reverse.
