leeslover
Cheers I had a feeling there would be something ;) Yup a bit more crackpot - nice summary It's basically a religion so if you point out a problem with an idea then it clearly isn't green enough. So, cars bad. We must use public transport. But it will never be practical for everyone to get to their jobs. So, we must move the jobs. In two steps they have abolished the entire incredibly complex system which produces things like food, books, houses, porn, medicine and the like. And they'd think that was a good thing. JoshOWTB
I think you may be exaggerating a bit there. Brighton is a Green controlled council and they haven't suffered. Yes some of their ideas are mental but we are talking about EU elections here, not letting them run this country. Their manifesto policies are a lot more sensible than the list above and they are for having a referendum to decide whether or not to leave the EU. I think it would just be refeshing to see some change from Tories and labour for once. And I don't think the lib Dems offer much different anymore and UKIP are definitely not the right vote for me!! Well of course Mr Shiny and me would put them against a wall before the cannibalism started. It's a case in point that the hold Brighton though. Hyper-expensive rich place where people pay a huge premium for the lifestyle whilst making a big commute for big bucks in London.

I was reading somewhere that Brighton has been a bit of a disaster. Can't remember whether that was new news or old news though. Or whether it was from a particularly partisan source. help_shiny
if you google Brighton Council Green Party there's a whole host of sorry tales of woe. It seems they elect all councillors every four years there so they're not up in front of the voters again until next year. After consulting my spirit guide I confidently predict they will face annihilation at the polls and that also Caroline Lucas will be an ex-MP
beag_teeets
I used to live in Brighton and still have friends there, they are so, so happy with the council. Not! (90s called, wants it thing back). They are really unpopular in their only foothold in the nation, doesn't bode well.

Ackey
Cameron, Milliband and that other arswipe Clegg are :censored: too. Oh of that I have no doubt. Cameron is the epitome of everything I hate in a leader. He's an elitist in slacks and I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire. Clegg sold out all that was of worth from his party for a brief stint in power and has likely set back his party a decade or more. Milliband is a :censored:ing child. Can't stomach the thought of him having actual power, the Yanks would rip him to bits.

leeslover
I had thought that Farage was just blowing the whistle for cynical purposes. Not so sure though. It won't hurt him though, there are a lot of home owners who would have kittens at the thought of a group of foreign blokes moving in next door. peanuts
I had thought that Farage was just blowing the whistle for cynical purposes. Not so sure though. . o quote one politician when ending a speech to his party he said "its important that we maintain the national identity and those who do not wish to conform to our way of life will be returned to their country of origin. This beautiful land of ours is surrounded by those who wish to detract from our ideals and the way they will not succeed we will route out those who are irrelevant and not of a racial purity I demand. It was not Mr Farrage but one Adolf Hitler speaking in Munich. Lets not forget eh?

help_shiny
makes me laugh, in a sneery condescending way, how wanting out of the EU and having an immigration system akin to Australia or Canada is somehow evil and nasty and racist. If twitter were to be believed UKIP are nothing less than an exact facsimile of the 1920's Nazi Party. I always knew those new fangled GCSE things would eventually produce a nation of slobbering halfwits
