Stevie_J Posted May 25, 2014 Share Posted May 25, 2014 It was a decent game. Thought Athletico did a great job of unsettling Real first half and nullifying the threat of Bale and Ronaldo. But they ran out of steam and Real controlled most of the second period (and all of extra time). If I were Simeone, I'd have gone absolutely mental about that free kick they had in injury time. Instead of using it to kill time by going into the corner or playing slowly all the way back, they tried to catch out Casillas and ended up just floating it straight into his hands, only to concede a minute later.
