£18k a week is an awful lot of money to be spending on someone who won't get out of Lockwood's pocket, that is if Evans has stooped being bum-raped in prison by the time we play them.

Yep, that's awful.

 

At least Barry gave some perspective and considered quotes when we signed Lee Hughes.

 

I still stand by the view that we should not have signed Hughes. His crime was a shocker; especially the fleeing the scene afterwards instead of facing up to what he had done.

 

But, i think Sheffield United will plum new depths if they go ahead and re-sign Evans. The message it sends out is unacceptable. "Sweep it under the carpet and pretend it never happened; have your bumper wage & contract back right away and pick up where you left off Ched, its all good. The fans will be chanting your name like you've never been away."

 

So very, very Poor from them if true. And i'm not surprised in the slightest.
