melia Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I can't understand why, when the last few weeks we have had nothing to play for we have still been including the likes of Gerrard, Woodland and Keane in the squad? Surely it would be more beneficial to give our own contracted players a chance and younger lads? Unless these loanees are being eyed up for a permanent deal? Quote

Woodland hasn't been in the squad for a while but is a target for the summer. Gerrard wasn't in the squad on Saturday (but we haven't been mathematically safe for 'weeks') and Keane has been the only option for the bench. Quote
singe Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) I can't understand why, when the last few weeks we have had nothing to play for we have still been including the likes of Gerrard, Woodland and Keane in the squad? Gerrard was certaintly touting himself a move in an article this past week. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/anthony-gerrard-open-joining-oldham-9105828 In fact it was remarked how we had suddently stopped using loanees, and that was for the new managers benefit!
