underdog
Statement is:At the AGM 2015 the Trust decided to appoint separate people to the roles of Chair and OAFC Board Representative. The constitution of Trust Oldham has always allowed for this split, just as it is possible for one person to hold both roles.Since the end of last year the board has been assessing the roles of Chair and Board Representative, identifying key attributes and the necessary skills and requirements for each role.Having also taken on board opinions from members and directors it was felt that at this time the Trust would be a stronger organisation with the two roles clearly defined. The Chair role has undergone some change, with the emphasis on governance of Trust Oldham and providing a clear reporting structure for Trust directors. This way we can ensure directors are accountable for implementing decisions and taking actions assigned to them.Spokesperson duties will no longer be the exclusive role of the Chair. The Board Representative will be able to concentrate fully on the task of managing the partnership with the club and their duties and responsibilities as a club director. The appointment of Simon B has been officially communicated to the club and we will be able to make a formal announcement (with a statement from Simon) once the necessary processes have been completed by the club.At Trust Oldham we are very excited to have this new dynamic and in Diane and Simon we feel we have the very best people to lead us through the next phase of our development.See trustoldham.co.uk for further the information on your trust.
